We finished the driver's door panel today and it turned out nice. Used the cargo light from the Fit and it snapped right in the civic, wiring was already there. I got an Acura on/off cargo light for MzFiT way back when. Well back to work tomorrow!

Painted the door, fender guards black and under coated the the lip that runs under the door from one wheel opening to the other. Detailing
Installed a new PCV this week and that eliminated the oil smoke.

Left to do:
1.) Rotors and pads
2.) new shocks and tein springs
3.) Front suspension: ball joints, tie rods, sway bar links all this for 43.00 shipped - trip to the front end shop "All Aspects"
4.) Detail under car and by then it'll be May and she'll be ready for ECHS in Richmond.

Smile Getnr'dun

Got the hood mask tonight and installed- no more dented hood! Added the 3/8" red stripe to the ext. moldings. Repaired the antenna where it had been wire nutted together???
Installed the windage trays under the radiator and engine.
5000K 9005, 9006 are ready to be installed into the new headlights, ran a ground to the radiator support, firewall and engine, made a difference in the headlights went from kinda yellowish to white .
Cleaned the Sony Explode 6.5" tri-axiles up and replaced missing hadeware. Plywood is cut for the sub and a brown cargo cover has been located.
Got the 2nd fillup tonight and she's getting 36.4mpg around town. That's 4mpg more than MzFiT !
Have a truck to clean up and maybe after that we will be able to install the Si gauge cluster.

Thanks guys!
I'm using this thread as a glorified notebook to keep track of the work on the little bugger and what's going on in the background to pay for this adventure in car resurrections. I finished the p/u truck today and used Zymol cleaner/wax and was really happy with what it did on the p/u truck that I went over the civic with it. the pic @ the bottom of the page is a zymol advertizment, impresive just the same.
Dri Fit and painted the p.s. mirror today.Install tomorrow night?

Looks good and I will have to try that wax too. But it probably will attract the birds for target practice.

Lightbulb Voltage and LEDs

Well had the first no-start w/ the civic Friday after work. it turned out to be just the wire from the relay to the solenoid came off. Easy fix crazy to trouble shoot. haha. So had fun w/ it as far as mods it now has a under the hood 24 LED light that does a nice job. and a Rising Sun gas door.... installed a digital voltmeter under dash. Built up 2 of the 4 struts up KYB G2 w/ tein springs. Have a front suspension kit coming in this week ball joints, tie rods, upper cont. arms and sway bar bushings. Then a trip to All Aspects for a four wheel alignment. n' Kidz Kollege has a few jobs to do to pay for all of this. GIG ATT!

Because the Battery is soo tiny and the car is an antique car I like to know what's going on with the charging system.

Just the LED on in the pitch dark no flash here, lol...

Thumbs up 36.4 mpg and that's running it up hard to see if anything would break & it did :D

Hey Glen,
Honda uses spade clips instead of studs and nuts to attach the small solenoid wires and over time and 10K heat cycles they get loose. Drives Great and will be even more fun after the suspension is freshened up. The steering isn't bad but there is a lot of room for improvement there, and the shocks are ...well in a word mush. The 1.5" drop will improve the stance too! It is a fun car to commute in

You're learning why Honda is so popular, easy to work on and a good product with great reliability. Now that car is a savings account and worth some good money.
