The Post Whore Thread V.2
Oh god, the mod bug has already hit me, but I know my dad would kill me if I ever did anything with it, especially with it still under warranty lol. I have some small ideas that my dad may agree with though lol.
Automotive Technology sounds like a cool degree to have.
What kind of career can you have with that?
And yeah, I've had a flickr for a while. What do you think of my pictures?

Make it stuff that he won't really notice right away like coil overs. Plastidip them flat black, keep the car at stock height, then slightly lower the car slightly every so many weeks or months.
Or if you want some chassis bracing inside, put it in and tell him its a coat rack.
My degree is pretty much would help me pave my was as Automotive Technician just like as those who go to UTI or Wyotech but I'd get an actual degree in addition to the certification. Which will help get my foot in the door at some auto shops and possibly dealers; however, I believe I may have to do some Automotive Service Excellence testing once I do finish the degree though to really put the degree to work.
Also I haven't gotten a chance to look at your flickr pics yet but I'll check them out once I get home. I'm watching maintenance do some work at my mom's apartment, can't really trust them here with stuff that isn't welded down.
I think coilovers are a bit too expensive for me lol. If anything small things like an intake or a sway bar at the front and back, and if possible, the MazdaSpeed wheels. I love those.
That degree sounds cool, working with cars all day. Sounds like a dream lol.
And about Flickr, whenever possible, I just like to hearfeedback. It helps out. Do you have one?
By the way, what is your real name? Mine is Charlie (duh lol).

Yep, I have a flickr as well. Screen name there is Captain Hoot, but I haven't posted much recently because of school and wanting to get some new lenses. My name is Kelan by the way Charlie.
Its all good. Basically, an oxygen-acetylene rig is a system consisting of a tank of oxygen gas, acetylene (a gas as well), and a torch body that works with 3 attachments. Those attachments being used for either cutting, welding, or heating.
Basically what made me worry about this guy is that acetylene is a highly volatile gas that can catch itself on fire once it reaches a pressure of 15 PSI and up as well as a gas that embeds itself in the fabric of your clothes if it comes in contact is working not even 12 feet from where I'm sitting. One average sized (3 ft tall, 6 inch diameter) tank of the stuff is equal to 12 sticks of dynamite if I recall correctly.
Dude doesn't even know how to properly set the heat for the tip he was using. Hell, he couldn't even get the tip lit without 4 or 5 tries so unburned acetylene was building up in the room. In addition to that, his set up doesn't have any flash back arrestors which are one way check valves that slows any fire from going from the tip, down the gas hoses to the tank (basically the reverse flow of the gases coming from the tank) if that were to happen.

Mind you, I am a jokester when the time is right but when its time to get serious I don't mess around with reaching reaching my objective. It doesn't matter if its work or school, I've always been that way because of the majority of my family members being military.
You are a very gifted person... I have a strong feeling that whatever you choose to do will be a good choice.. Don't negate your ability to communicate and your willingness to be helpful to people, you are a people person as much or more than an auto service and mechanic type... People on this forum have received a lot of information from you at all hours of the day and night so consider all of your strengths, options and what is going to make you the happiest.
Just checked out and took pics of the worker's rig, it definitely doesn't have a flash back arrestor. I think I'll go stand by the window now...

I really do hope I can land an automotive related job soon though so I can put the knowledge from class to good use.Are you and your wife feeling any better from those wasp stings?
Yeah we both were swollen up like crazy for longer and more so than usual but are fine now.. She has been going out in the woods with the dog I got from Amanda's dad and the 2 of them hunt squirrels.. She picked up on shooting a rifle pretty good and even likes to fire hot .357 magnum loads from my big Dan Wesson target model revolver... I haven't let her fire any thing really big yet.... She won't hardly go outside without her mosquito net jungle hat and long sleeve desert camouflage jacket... She freaks out anyone that is crazy enough to come on the property and she terrifies the dog just by looking at him.

Haha--I'd like to think I'm fun.
I really love my kids and I treat them as valuable people--I want them to feel confident and special and it is only then that they trust you and will really learn and excel.
And thanks!
