Was at the gym last night and when I came out it looked like someone hit-and-ran my car. There doesn't seem to be any deep scratches or anything major, rather it looks like they just scraped it going under 5mph.

Called my friend who is my insurance agent and he said that if I couldn't buff it out I could get the side repainted (but the deductible would be $200).

I don't think the damages are going to exceed $200 so this kinda sucks... gonna wash the car next week and see if I can get some of this excess paint off.

So*Cal Fit - Where did you go to dip you stock wheels white? I really like the white wheels and if it's cheaper to dip the stock wheels white than buy new rims I'm for it. I think the stock rims are pretty nice looking to begin with. Thanks.

Gecker,
I dipped them at home for under $20
I bought 3 cans at Home Depot @ about $5 a can!
I jacked the car all up(each wheel) removed each wheel and spayed them. the reason on removing the wheels vs. spraying them while on the car is that the white is more watery than the black and drips easier. i did about 5 coats and still have plenty left in the cans

Was putting my winter wheels on but didn't get done in time so I just settled for two fronts, so I'm rockin' the two tone for now until I get the back wheels done LOL

A buddy of mine who had, and sold, a Fit still had a set of Skunk2 springs laying around. He gave those springs to me in exchange for a box of doughnuts. We installed the springs today and we're enjoying the new low.

Also installed a Curt trailer hitch so we can hook up our bike carrier.

I know the pads need to be bedded in over time but... How are you liking the Hawk pads with the EBC slotted rotors? Also, what model EBC rotors did you get?

The last time i did my breaks i did 88rotors drilled and slotted and their house pad.

so its a completely different set up for me... Impressions so far are that it bites harder now ( the old pads weren't out of material yet but i figured i would just do it all at once because the rotors were starting to go.) Im not sure if that is due to the pads or rotors though. I do however like the rotors a lot. The black coating that EBC uses on their sport rotors is nice because it keeps the outside and the hub part from getting disgusting and rusty. i got the pads and the rotors from here for i think 170 ish shipped so definitely not a bad deal. the one thing i can say is that when i very first installed them i got a weird ABS chatter and my abs light won't go off. Im not sure if that was my fault ( I'm assuming i messed something up) or if it has to do with the rotors and the way they sit.

Had a couple sets of winter rims and my snap on tool box full of tools in it on the weekend, didnt feel like I had to slip the clutch anymore then normal. The tongue weight on the hitch is only 150 pounds so I wont be towing much.

I'm running the same rotors with the EBC Yellow Stuff pads. The rotors are definitely a great upgrade for the Fit.

Cool. I didn't mind running EBC USR850s too much with my Hawk Performance Ceramic pads...at least when the pads are at operating temp (pads stayed cold on highway trips). I'm guessing the more aggressive cold bite that he HPS pads have is good enough to counter act the cooler pad temps.

In regards to the ABS light... did you happen to do a visual check to make sure nothing was left loose or had come disconnected during the install? Also made sure that brake line was not twisted/spun and allowed to kink along with ensuring that the rotor was sitting flat on the hub's surface.

They're not too shabby for street use; a lot of hard driving, autocross, or aggressive metallic/semi-metallic pads may do a number to them though just as a heads up. I warped the absolute HECK out of my pair though autocrossing though and the Carbotechs seemed to just munch away at them for some odd reason.

The Carbotechs are a more aggressive pad I believe. The EBC combo has a good bite and does work well when street driven. There is some noise from this. So far the rotors are doing well from AutoX. The car is mostly used for AutoX these days.
