New Recall on 2007-2008 Fits
#81
Oh, you brought it in for the "check" visit. You'll get another letter in the mail to actually have it replaced, regardless of what it looks like (just got my letter today). The "check" visit was a CYA on Honda's part where the tech basically looks for evidence of moisture incursion and replaces the switches on the spot if any is found. There were (then) a limited amount of the switches, so they couldn't yet say "hey everyone bring in your cars for the fix".
Got my second recall notice and have an appointment on 12/31/2013 to have it permanently fixed once and for all. My day off and will be spent at the dealership getting oil changed and window switch fixed. Yeah!

Can we talk about the window switch recall and not issues with other TSB's.
I haven't received my notice, yet.
For the person with the broken armrest, its 20 bucks for the new at the dealer.
Sounds like alot of you are way to picky, and complain about small things. So what the car was a little dirty, deal with it. Its a car, not the Mona Lisa.
When I took my Honda in for the last recall, they broke my piece under the armrest, I was more greatful for the fix, than the damage.
Some people here act like they drive a 500k car, its the cheapest Honda made.
GET OVER IT.

While Fit is not 500K car, it's not a $500 car either, although some low budget vintage cars are definitely easier to repair and more durable than this marvel of kamikaze engineering
