It's the Big Texan on I40! Go there. It's hard to miss with all the caddys with longhorns mounted up front and the texas shaped pool.

Granted your going the other way.. but I would always stop there on my way out to Cali or AZ to get me through W. Tex and NM without having to stop haha

Hickory is traditional around here. I've used cherry/maple mix on turkey with good results. Brisket can take a nice oak/mesquit mix. I smoke them on the rack, unwrapped over a pan. Bump the fire the last hour or so on a 7hr smoke, pull from smoker @ 185F and wrap loosely to rest.

Rear wiper delete, found I got the hole plug for a GD thats too large for my GE But when I get the right one painted up its gonna look super sick! Yes I said painted on a GE. I had the normal shiny black plastic trim piece painted to match the body color and its slick. Pics coming if interested.

Also did a front midget-wiper delete and and main wiper turn down. Really like this clean look and removal of forward visual obstruction. 32" Wiper blade on order.

Installed my first genuine JDM part - Hazard activation button and its cool! My wallet may rue this JDM thing...

Had window tint applied to every window except the windshield. Car looks even better now and keeps the heat and glare down!

What percentage did you go with? Me and my boy can't figure out which would look best on the car. Kinda leaning towards 20% on the back door windows to the back hatch. And 30% on the front windows and windows near Mirros and then 35% on the whole windshield.

Just installed a Fujita SRI on my GD.

After a short test, throttle feeling seems better and car seems "lighter". A bit noisier over 4K and takes less than the usual age to gain rpms

SG seems liking the addon, too.

Went with 25% on the backs and 70% on the front (legal in CA).

blue tint mirrors

These came in the mail today, and I installed them within 30 minutes (just went slow to make sure I didn't fcuk anything up).

09 10 Honda Fit / Jazz Blue Tint Side Mirror Glass f7 | eBay

Ship time was fairly quick, I'd say about a week. They look pretty good on my tidewater blue car.

Both sides are now "wide angle" so that should keep motorcycles and anything/one else out of a blind spot. I already have a wide angle rear view.

These replaced the factory mirrors. I referred to this thread-

https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...s-winkers.html

for how to remove/replace the mirror glass. It was fairly simple, just don't rush it. You don't need a lot of brute force to do it. You pretty much un-snap the bottom 2 points on the mirror, lift up like the garage doors before roll ups, then slide the mirror out of the housing. Reverse to replace the mirrors.

I haven't done a lot of driving with them on, just a short run to a store a back when it was daylight. On the way out, I took my wide angle off of my interior rear view. It was kinda weird not having that be my wide angle view, but with my side mirrors now being wide angle I just made my adjustments and everything was fine. I didn't perceive any "loss" of field of view with the original rear view since I knew I still had wide angle where it counts.

On my way back, I put the wide angle back on my interior rear view, and it wasn't bad but it did feel redundant. I would say that unless you really wanted to have or keep your interior rear view wide, you could be happy enough with the side mirrors. OR you could keep the factory side mirrors and just have the interior wide angle. The only thing is that sometimes when I have passengers in my front seat their heads effectively block out the wide angle benefits on anything on the passenger side.

Hopefully I made sense. If not let me know and I'll clarify.

I've been looking for something like this. Curious to know what 'wide angle' really means on these. Is the perceived distance an issue? How does the passenger side view compare to the original view. A review in traffic on a four lane hwy would be good.

Good find.

Contemplating why electric superchargers don't exist. I mean yes there's the VTES, The ebooster by borhwarner, and the turbopac by honeywell. All of these electric supercharger projects were intiated around the turn of the century saw development and a production model created but were never truly offered up to the aftermarket. These companies banked all their money on seeing their electric superchargers picked up for a production vehicle. instead they've died a slow cold death as no manufacturers wish to implement them in their vehicles.

Yes the power requirements are high. Yes it can only be used for around 30 seconds. But it's not a bad idea.

We carry around these 35 pound batteries in our cars just so that we can start them and the rest of the time they just sit there taking up space and weight. But yet that same battery contains enough stored energy to power a 6hp electric motor continuously for 30 seconds. 6hp (about 5000watts) is enough energy to generate a 1.5 pressure ratio up to about 200 cfm or so even with a fairly inefficient compressor.

Why doesn't the product exist?

That is not at all what Lyon is talking about. Those things are a joke.

Thanks for defending my honor! Any real electric sc is going to need to use a roots style blower or a centrifugal compressor. Roots has too much inertial load. Yes it turns slower so is easier to find a motor for but there's a reason honeywell chose a centrifugal style blower.
