Road trip back and forth to boston. 1st tank was 34 mpg but i drove already 100 miles. 2nd tank 37.6 mpg. Not bad for cold weather, mountains and hauling 4 overweight people.

I used less than 1/2 to cover just the cargo area. Left the ends curled up to keep any liquids contained. There is enough left over to roll over the back seats when they are down flat.

Ah gotcha, good to know.

I love Maxi Suds II. Works great with the 2-bucket or even in a foam gun/lance. I still want to try their honeydew in my gun but the maxi suds are cheap and readily available near me. Plus it just lasts so damn long haha.
That photo was nearly at sundown in the shade and taken with my P&S so that's why you can't really see the results. Believe me, I can

What I used this particular time was the following:

Clay bar
Max Suds
Chemical Guys Cut 2.0 + Green Hex Logic Pad
Pinnacle Swirl Remover + White Hex Logic Pad
Zymol synthetic wax

Next time I will be using a different polish, not really a fan of the Pinnacle anymore but it was free when I got my PC

I agree with you regarding the Max Suds, this stuff is awesome!

Man, CG stuff can be great but they make a million products that literally do the same thing as other products they sell. It's not like they're discontinuing products either. Gets really confusing to keep up haha.

I'm with you on the Pinnacle compounds/polishes. My go-to will always be Meg's. But I also normally employ Menzerna, Finesse, and PB with great results. But of the Pinnacle brand, I absolutely LOVE their Souveran wax and WW concentrate. I only use Pinnacle WW or Ultima UWW+ for my WW/QD sprays.

But why do you use two similar polishes? I think they're both rated for 2500ish grit removal. I would try using them with LC/CG orange pads before either the green or white to slightly mimic a "lighter" compound depending on the condition. And then to get that extra 20%, I would finish with a LC white w/Menz SF4K or if you're satisfied with the CG 2.0 cut, CG white/LC Green w/Poorboy's White Diamond Glaze.

Because I've been strict since I picked my car up from the lot, my routine 3-6 month (depends on how often it rains) strip/polish/seal usually goes: wash, iron-x, clay, m101 on a LC white pad (orange for places like my door handles and hood), SF4500 on green, seal with wolf's hard body on hood and front bumper, klasse HGS on the rest, then to double up with an entire coat of HGS after 12 hours, then top (i know, 3 layers, works great for me still haha) with Pinnacle Souveran Wax.

Sorry! It's always great to talk to fellow detailers, especially fellow Fit detailers that have TW cars haha.

Yeah, My laptop bag sets it off all the time. It's right at that weight where depending on how Hard I turn (and the weight in the bag shifts), the light will go on/off a number of times.

Wowzers you really know your stuff, I will honestly admit I am very much a novice so that is why it's been taking me forever just to do the a few sections of the car at a time. I will admit I am getting alot better and I know everytime I try something out I learn even more.

I totally agree with you regarding the polishes being the of the same grit level, I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out! The Pinnacle came with my polisher but the Cut 1.0 I ended up purchasing myself after that time. Good idea using the Orange pad with them both.

I also bought several 3.5" pads and and adaptor but have yet to use that.

I like using Chemical Guys stuff since it is local to me and I can save money by waiting for some of their big sales

Thanks for the advice!

With a 60 lb kid in the seat it sometimes triggers it and sometimes doesn't, depending on where and how they sit. Anything less and it's turned off.

Replaced the stock cargo light with a $7 LED T10 tower bulb with 18SMD. Can see much better now with hatch open versus stock bulb! Waiting for my other bulbs to arrive for map and dome.

^I did the same thing, makes a huge difference

Be careful removing the license plate lights, I broke one of the covers and had to buy a new one (granted it was only $7 lol)

Haha I think we're all on the same wavelength. Did a LED upgrade (to my crappy leds before) to panels and 20smd t10 for the back about a week ago.

Indeed they are, did you post what bulbs you used painterguy? Sorry if I missed it. I wouldn't mind having brighter dome and hatch lights, I'm constantly messing about moving stuff around the car in the morning dark before work.

Did you do the map lights too Eric?

Of all my mods other than my center console the lights are the most functional since the dark tones of the interior plus my dark tint = I can't see shiza sometimes lol

I have a few kits left like the one Painterguy just installed on his.

Includes the 2X LED map lights, 1X 48 SMD LED board for the dome, 1X 15 SMD LED board for the cargo area and 2X LED license plate bulbs.

$29 shipped out if anyone's interested?
