What did you do to your GE fit today?
every rim on the market has the opportunity to crack if certain conditions are met.
With these 15s, Id probably need some VERY sticky tires and very stiff suspension (bushings, springs, swaybar, chassis bracing) to push them to their limits
Which means I might push them to their limits within the next few years lol

Get some better pics up when you can
Ill try to remember, lots going on with clearing my unit and base to ETS home!
Let me know what kind of battery you end up going with. When it comes time for me to replace mine, I'll probably get something similar to you. I've never had my fit not start yet, but it has definitely struggled a few times... It's just so damn cold right now.
If you have time, take your fit out for a 30 min or more highway drive to recharge the battery a little right before you park it for the night. I've noticed my morning start is a little better after I do this.
Didn't your cord come with a cap that ties onto the grill? I have the AC mesh grill made of gutter guard that holds the cord in place, and i can tuck it behind the mesh to hide during the summer. Right now it just sticks out like a tongue lol.

As for the replacement battery, I thought about getting a Braille. They're expensive, but I think a similar sized battery to our 151R is much more powerful. I didn't actually measure, but the 15 or 21 lb battery is around the same size, but with a lot more punch. I don't like the way a Civic battery (51R) sits with the stock airbox.
About the battery issue above, this is why MTs are superior. Open door, push vehicle (decline really helps), jump in and pop the clutch and away you go with a started vehicle. One reason I really hope MTs are around forever. Though sadly, they will eventually be gone because of laziness and government regulations which are much easier to control with autotragic gearboxes.
Another thing about MT... In the snow.
I was stuck near the end of my driveway with one wheel spinning. So i put it in first, VERY slowly eased off the clutch. It eventually got to the point where the Fit was spinning that one wheel by itself. Stepped out and pushed the car myself and got moving!
This came about after two separate occasions just recently, where people or just a person had better traction (and therefore, leverage) than the Fit when stuck.
Edit: before it got a chance to become a runaway, the sudden traction once free, stalled it out. An auto probably would've kept going.

i dont think i would ever jump out of the car while it was in gear without anyone at the wheel.. what if it didnt actually stall? i suppose you were counting on it to?
ive only gotten stuck a couple times in deep snow, and i was able to get out without pushing. just by rocking the car back and forth until i "swung" myself out of the rut. of course it helps to have winter tires too.
i think there are advantages and disadvantages to both MT and AT. I wish people would stop hating on AT like they have something to prove. its not like AT users are running around bashing MT.

True enough, that just means one needs to move away from the snow, nice to visit, no point in living with it.
The almost 28" we had over 2 weekends here was more than enough for this 305 born guy. Was already 5x the normal amount for a year here in this part of Japan.

seems like a really hectic winter this year in many other places that dont normally get so bad either.
just look at Atlanta a few weeks ago and the midwest right now. a month ago Texas was colder than it was way the hell up here in Edmonton.

My UltraGauge came back with the current firmware. I slapped it in, configured it and filled up last night. Friday night I'll have maybe 330 miles on the tank and I can calibrate it and start getting real numbers.
It sure is nice to be able to see my coolant temp again.
spryter- take your battery inside for the night until you can replace it. it'll stay warm and there won't be any drains on it. It'll also stop abusing an awesome sounding neighbor.
