finally got around to completing my mugen bumper. had issues with the greddy ti-c fitting into the exhaust hole. tried to move the exhaust back more, however the it wasn't moving. it can only be adjusted up or down.

a dremel and 2 zip ties later:

With that front end closest thing to a 2013 mugen fit were gonna get keep it up
Really wish that mugen shuttle grill wasn't such a pain to get besides the price being pretty high

Fuck new cars and cramped space and complexity. This would have been a 5 min job in a 90s honda!

His install and yellow tinted fogs today
If you only changed the bulb, you don't need to remove anything, besides the old bulb.

If you swapped the housing, then you could get by without removing the entire front end, though its pretty tight getting to the lower mounts for the headlight (reach in through upper grille area). If you have a Sports trim, you might have an easier time reaching the bottom bolt by taking out the fog lamp and reaching through there.

Its less cramp if you pull the bumper off.

Nice color combo! Did you go leather or PVC?

Looks really good, can't tell unless you point it out.

Is there any warmth from the exhaust that you are feeling on the lip after a drive?

not really. part of the bumper where it was previously exposed was already burnt off. i just dremeled the hanging part and the chrome trim hides it.

Its the little things, right? Replaced the cabin air filter, and ordered new gauge lenses. I'm going to cover them with a screen protector so I can clean them.

Applied 3M spray on clear bra today. Hoping it helps with the inevitable rock chips. Actually thinking about fully pastidipping the entire car while the paint is still new!

Passed the 1000 mile mark this past weekend during a TT Spring drive with 7 Audis and a Ducati. The Fit really handles so nice, I am truly impressed with this little car. Thinking about a sway bar and some springs to help with some body roll in the back to back esses but overall the Fit is truly like a little sports car in the turns.

i read somewhere plastidip + new paint do not mix well. as in ripping paint off when peeling. i'd be careful.

I think I'm the only person on the planet dead set against the use of Plastidip. It'd protect your paint, but it looks awful on most applications IMO.

I don't always post on here but here's my current progress.
Coil Overs, S2000 Calipers/Rotors, and Tail Lights.
Also Mugen floor mats but no picture yet.
Saving up for some wheels now.

Big thanks to Zeebrah for the pics from last Cerritos Meet!
Always on point.

Well, since my floor jack broke and I had to dig out the scissor jack, about an hour. Could have been a 15 minute job without that. It's 6 bolts, one of them a little fiddly with the rubber spring mount. I pried it out of the way with a big screwdriver. That's it.

The handling improvement is there, but it's not huge. I doubt anyone who doesn't already drive a Fit would notice. It corners flatter. I can get on the power a little sooner in a turn without understeer. To describe the "feel" difference, it feels like the center of rotation is farther back. Like the car is rotating around the handbrake lever instead of the shifter.

did you know you can put on 3-4 thick layers and then wetsand it for a really nice satin finish?

Also, the comment above saying paint ripping off, utterly wrong.
