What did you do to your GE fit today?
They're plasti dipped! The best stuff in the world, just layered it on thick over my old black plasti dip. Peels off easy, has a couple coats of their clear coat too. Wish they had a more glossy clear for a better finish but it's a real head turner
Woman* haha and the headlights are on, they're just white bulbs!
Yeah it's an unusual and rad color combo!
Well out here where I live it seems like you gotta go big or go home when it comes to rim colors. Black and red is so over done so I wanted something really nice to spice up my stockies. Just ordered my tein s techs so I'm super excited <3
Nice, I was just worried about drilling through a hose or a bracket or something
Thanks, your link was a life-saver

Cusco Front Strut bar installed. Broke two small clips holding the cowl inside the engine bay, but its not going nowhere. Stupid nut that goes under the middle bracket was a PITA to install. How you supposed to get your hand in there, keep a washer in place and then screw the nut on? Did it with the washer. Anyway done on time before the snow.
I had the same trouble and had to end up buying a new driver side upper cowl cover and clip, not fun!Congrats Chris, you going to leave it CF?
thats not cf
Correct its not CF, but I'm actually glad. Carbon fiber doesn't do well in Cali Sun. I had a carbon fiber hood on my accord and it eventually yellowed and had clear coat failure. You really have to baby it, because the sun is so harsh here.
IF (and thats a big if) I can get a hold of JDP in the future, I am thinking of getting a rear lip/diffuser thing in just fiberglass and then painting it grey too match the front.

Today... I got my Fit back, 2 weeks to the day of getting it towed... which was a day (or was it 2 days?) after snapping an axle.
I took a bunch of pictures, but my phone bugged out and deleted anything recent. I don't feel like going out to take more pictures. Luckily, I had sent two of them to my friend in a chat program so I was able to recall those two.

Apparently, the axle has something called a "balancer" on it (that rubber covering)... and that's where it snapped.
My current theory is... it cracked during my road trip (July '11) when that side slammed into the ground because my front wheel went off the pavement when I didn't turn sharp enough. After that, around spring of last year (maybe Mar '14), I got a lot of water under that rubber and it got weaker from there.
Having the supercharger from the preceding Christmas/New Year (Dec '13/Jan '14) just sped up the eventual destruction.
So, I don't think it was a simple/quick catastrophic failure... but a cascade of events starting from the road trip. But it's just a theory.
I had the mechanic do a transmission and clutch fluid change since those were overdue... and while he was at it, to inspect the fluid being drained in case there were any metal in it to indicate a failure. He didn't see anything in the fluids and they otherwise seem fine.
It might not be -40 around Chicagoland... but it's f-ing cold enough. I'm tired of this shit.

Is that plastidip teal? Was thinking that or blaze blue

Anymore than a few minutes outside and you become slowly aware you skin is cooking.
Have you ever lived through a northern winter? Until you have, you don't even know how pleasant that sensation of burning flesh really is.
Finally got around to putting on the OEM visors. Everything went well and it took me about 45 minutes. I really like the look.
I also gave her a bath and cleaned out the interior. Too late to take some pictures, but I hope to get some soon.
