I was really bored so I wrapped my rear view mirror in carbon fiber vinyl. From the outside it looks awesome. From the inside the edges around the glass are very uneven and bumpy. Its hard to get that stuff around small curves. Interesting experiment. Probably replace it with the JDP -real deal- cover in a little while

Did this on Saturday, but forgot to post here.

Installed my new JDP lip and changed the oil while I had the car on the lift.

I'm dropping it off at the detailer's tonight for a much-needed thorough clean and polish.

Took measurements of the Fit rear drum vs. 1st gen Insight rear drum. Everything looks like it will swap over. Fortunately I won't have to buy a new spindle or hub ($$$$$$$$). Unfortunately, I still don't have all the necessary parts so have to order more (DEFINITELY NOT FROM BERNARDI). Looks like it's gonna be 3-4 more weeks before this is all finished (backorder, upcoming travel, etc). Can't wait to post the official weight loss cause it's gonna be alot just from holding the two rear drums!!

Also I confirmed the Insight rear wheel cylinder is 11/16 vs. 3/4 on the Fit so there shouldn't be a disruption of front/rear bias.

And lastly, I got the side mirrors mounted up and will pick up the custom cut glass tomorrow.

Productive day

Check on Majestic Honda out of Rhode Island. I went through them previously when I was living on Guam and the turnaround was pretty quick for a new shift lever and Ti knob and MUCH cheaper than what the local Honda was selling for.

Good news so far about the rear Insight drums.

That's because you're probably looking under Fit Sport accessories instead of the Base accessories

Since the Base doesn't come with a nice leather wrapped steering wheel like the Sport, Bernardi offers a leather steering wheel cover for the base along with the blue stitching to put it together:

Honda Leather Steering Wheel Cover Fit - Bernardi Honda Parts and Accessories

Will def. put up some pics of it and the other stuff tomorrow morning when it is light out... I actually just finished stitching the wheel cover together like an hour ago
