It is a subtle change but does make a difference. Passenger side I would raise to 1/4" for sure. The bolt will take it. Time to pull the seat??

I tried replacing the rail bolt, however, they have a funky stater nub on the end and I wasn't able to get the new off-the-shelf bolt started - of course it was blazing hot at the time and I was loosing patience. Never quite seen a set-up like that, it is just a bolt.

Reason for me to lengthen the bolt is to mount a support bracket for a universal RAM mount I've had for a while. The brackets go on the seat rail bolt and on the Fit I'm going to need to raise the seat bolt head to clear the floor contour. If I figure it out I'll be able to mount a lap top in the cabin. I'm hoping it wont crowd things too much.

RAM Mounts
OK KC. I will give it a try. It is not hot here but rather a cold Sept rain.

Rain! Now if your garage wasn't full of slot cars...

We're getting the same rain, about time - been a dry end of summer, we need the moisture. This AM I spent readying the wood pile for winter. Moved a face cord into the basement 'garage' and straightened up the outside stack for two more cords. My cars haven't seen the cover of a roof in years... who would have thought at my age I would still be rolling around on the pavement doing car stuff.

KC. No stacking wood here. I just turn up the thermostat for gas furnace.

My cars have always survived outside except for the Bugeye. It had the garage when I restored it.

Yes we need the rain here too.

I suppose I could drive three blocks and use the F in L's garage. I did last year for the seat covers. Oh sheet I have to wash his van while he is away.

changed the motor oil with mobile1 (0w-30) and hamp filter. also changed out the ATF, the drain bolt on the transmission was torqued down so tight that i had to use my ratchet and the jack to break it loose.

the fit took about 2.65 quarts of honda atf z-1 to indicate proper fluid levels when running hot.

ive been running the factory viscosity 5w-20 mobile1 so far and trying out 0w30 to see if there is a difference. so far the engine responses quicker to input than with the 5w-20. now i need to see if there is an increase in mpg.

Sux man, at least you're OK. Maybe there will be enough insurance money left over to pay for some of the JDP hood:wishful:

I've upped the pressure to 35psi as well. Still on the stock Dunlops [which I started out not liking] and am very pleased with their performance. Honda service guy suggested the boost for winter driving and to help eliminate false TPS alerts.

I'm only guessing I'll see a boost in the MPG's as well.

What's up with the low MPG's Evil? I'm above 40 right now.

My addition is a new shifter knob. I've been toying with a few different knob styles. This one is a beer tap handle, with a local brewery's sticker on it...nothing fancy. Total height of tap handle is 5.5 inches, so it's not as tall as the picture shows. Thinking about trying to create and cast a epoxy/polyester resin knob.
