Bought and put on a Mugen shift from my Honda dealer for my 2010 Silver Storm Metallic base Fit M/T. I showed my Honda dealer a price from an online dealer and he matched it. I showed him one for the bodyside moldings and he will give it to me for $149 and the service dept. will charge me $40 to install. Better then the $249 they wanted to begin with and all it takes is printing online prices so no effort at all.

Today... I pumped gas.

HAHA.

But seriously... I had my GPS in front of the fuel gauge and wasn't checking the fuel gauge. After one of my deliveries, I thought... "hum, how's the gas going?"

Trip: 288.6 miles
Displayed MPG: 28.6 mpg
Fuel light: ON!

OH SHIT!!!

I finally got to the gas station to pump gas.

Our tanks hold 10.6 gallons, right?

I pumped 10.555 gallons. I think I was running on fumes.

Thanks! Those are the stock tail lights but I tinted it with a spray called Nightshade something, my buddy was doing it to his car so I decided to go for it as well, I'm considering putting in LEDs so they go brighter.

My OEM Fit all-season floor mats came in today and installed them. No more sliding floor mats lol. The anchors were pretty easy to install, took maybe 10 min with the cutting and stuff.. $100 from Bernardi and dealer quoted me at $200 the other day lol. DIY ftw!

Started the my day by my friend calling me over to see "a surprise." Which ended up being a brand new Cooper S convertible 6 speed with 27 miles on it that he proceeded to let me drive for 30 minutes, putting it through it's handling paces and instructed him on some higher-performance driving techniques he'd never learned about. The torque from the turbo was perfect for straight line scoots. Suffered a bit of turbo lag out of the corners and the handling, in feel, was leagues beyond the Fit, understandably, but as far as capabilities, both being shed in the stock 16s, with the Mini's added weight, I'd say the Fit is more capable sans power. I took him on a test drive in my car on some of the same sections and we were both surprised in a back-to-back comparison at how nimble the Fit was, and how it could do U-turns faster. Add more grip to both, and I'm not sure who the winner would be. With the top down, it felt like a proper sports car. Read for the track. The exhaust note was very nice as well. For 28k though, well, it is what it is. A nice car - but heavy. I'd like to check out the non-convertible cooper s now.

So, then I got inspired and went home and installed my visors finally, since I've weighed it back and forth and decided I like them an am not going back. No pics of those yet, even though it's nothing you haven't seen, but earlier in the thread I promised pics of the new shift knob/pedals setup and after finally vacuuming the car post-visor install, I snapped a few "shitty cell phone pics."

Once I get the few final touches I have planned in there, i'll take some higher quality pics. Trying to get decal dude to do make some carbon fiber steering wheel inserts like the Hasepro (????????? ::: Hasepro Corporation) ones I see on all the cars in jdm-land.

Example:

I "installed" a USB flashdrive full of MP3s so I didn't have to keep putting my phone into mass storage mode to hear my music. It is so easy to use it's ridiculous. Wal-mart has got a 4GB stick for $10 bucks right now- not the best size, but very useable and for the cost you can't go wrong. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to get started playing around with the USB on the sport model. Couldn't be easier.

I'm thinking about getting some more and putting different mixes on each of them...

Has a faulty wheel sensor replaced. Do not bitch about Honda service. They did it under warranty. It could have been caused when we forgot to disconnect them before dropping the rear end to install springs as the light came on then.

The part is only $148 before taxes plus half hour labour.
