Looking good G95pteg! If you ever decide to go with red emblems check out ibcmotorsports.com they have real legitament emblems. But they are about 110 bucks for the set.

How do you like the Tein Flex? I am about to order these because I think that they will be great for daily driving.

They are too soft from factory IMO with 4kgf/mm 2kgf/mm springs... the rear springs bottom out after it settles and sags with the spring perch set at max height and with rear passenger. The front are a little better, still the springs seem to sag noticeably after a week or two, and the spring perch hight needs to be adjusted again. The dampers themself are good with very noticeable change in damping with each adjustment click, although with noticeable hysteresis below 5 click from stiffest setting. The rear dampers I have no issue with.

I switched out the springs with Swift 5kgf/mm front and Bilstein 2.4kgf/mm rear, and stiffened up the damping to control the increased spring rate. I was able to obtain 80-90% of the Bilstein monotube damping feel I had before these Teins, without the inevitable slide bush wear knocking sound on the inverted monotube design of the Bilstein.

If all you want from a set of coilovers is ride comfort and lowering for DD, the Tein Flex is great out of the box. But don't expect much in the way of handling without a full spring swap. For handling, the Bilstein is the way to go, although be prepared to have them sent in for slide bushing replacement after every 1.5-3 years depending on local road condition.

Rear Tein damper + Bilstein Spring/Spring seat

Very nice!! What are your plans for the front bumper? as I'd assume it would be a major ordeal to fit the JDM RS Bumper on an USDM Fit...

Added a sport grille to my base. I got it new for half the price just missing the clips. Got too excited to put it on so I still need to transfer the gold emblem on.

Its not hard but just take your time. The clips in the corners behind the grill are a nightmare to get off. After i just replaced them with weatherproof zipties

Oh also I installed the front rs emblem just using a longer screw and increased the washer size every time then added a foam washer between the last washer and the grill. That way if you ever wanted to it could be removed. Because it wasn't made for the USDM grill it doesn't fit perfectly but with some patience and some adjusting there is one perfect spot where it sits just right.

finally settled with JDP and finish up the broken hood. Wet sanded small pin holes from the new clear coat done yesterday. Learned to compound and polish on the hood. Here is the result.

Hood looks awesome! Nice reflection

Do you recommend clearing Carbon fiber parts before putting them on? Or did you only do it because of the repair... Put in my order for a duckbill cf

Any closer pics of the damaged area that you fixed?

thanks still not as perfect as i wanted it to being a novice at compounding clear coat. but good enough for now. when i get a proper orbital polisher instead of my screw driver ill work on it again.

ur duck bill should come with clear from JDP. my clear coat is starting to chip and pinholes are showing and some oxidation. if u want to u can have a shop add more clear, or just do it later when it starts to go bad.

his packaging for the duck bill is so much better than larger pieces like a hood. it will come UPS too so u should be ok. im just leery of ordering another big item like a hood.

yah seems everyone says the duckbill packaging is really good..

but the clear on your duckbill is already oxidizing / chipping? haven't you only had it for under a year? I thought the clear would last longer than that.. sort of dissappointing if so
