What did you do to your GE fit today?
Sometimes thats the best way to go. Sourcing a part from japan, finding a seller, and shipping can be hard.
Been looking at a jdm goodie on Rakuten...
Been looking at a jdm goodie on Rakuten...
Mr. Post Man just arrive and deliver this JDM parts
a. Honda Stream Rest Pedal Cover:
I bought this Aluminum Pedal Cover from JDM Honda Stream,
because it would match my current brake and gas pedal cover.
I thought it would need the rubber backing,
turn out the rubber backing is a separate rest pedal,
so now I have extra rubber pedal...

b. few weeks ago, I bought the JDM Fit Ambient Light from
a rakuten store Desir De Vive that many member here like to buy from too...
I had bought several time from this store several time, no problem
but my last transaction have problem...
on the rakuten webpage of this store, they wrote that
the ambient lighting would include the "ATTACHMENT" which basically
include the wiring harness, but they never specify the part number
of the attachment...
while the same item sold at different rakuten vendor (chuwa parts) did show the part number for attachment...
so when I got the ambient light, it do NOT include any attachment at all.
I bet that desir de vivre staff forget (or do not know) that the attachment do not come automatically from Honda but had to be bought separately,
still when I contact desir de vivre, they told me they had shipped it and blamed TENSO, I contact Tenso and tenso ask me so many question about the weight of the original goods etc etc that I decided to just forget about it and just buy a new attachment myself !
Desir De vivre also no longer response to my second email after telling them that Tenso do NOT find it in their warehouse...
I am really disappointed, but lesson learned is if you buy from Rakuten shop, make sure all the parts number were describe on their listing.
I mean desir de vivre sell many things beside car parts, so I am sure they do not completely understand everything they sell...
anyway, here is the pictures of the "ATTACHMENT/WIRING" that just arrived today

C. I also bought the COOL / HEAT Glove Box ventilation.
This modification were first introduced by another member at fitfreak here named connor55.
Thanks connor55
I need this since I plan to buy AEM F/IC-6 Piggy Back and install it inside
this glove box, so a cooling system would make sure the AEM stay cool

Hi connor55,
No, I order the RED Lighting
because I plan to buy JDM Mugen Fit RS Floor Mat (after I sold my USDM Mugen floormat) and the red lighting should match the Red Color on that floor mat
I do plan to combine this wiring with the USDM ambient lighting,
since the USDM one had dashboard switch that can turn it bright anytime, while the JDM one,
turn on bright when door open and always on (dimmed) when car is on...
or something like that...
so this will take time before I actually install them

Right, i think the jdm one turns on with the headlights or marker lights. Cause thats what my jdm cupholder lights do. So does the usdm, but you can also control it manually. I have the usdm ambient lighting and it will not come on without headlights or marker lights
You should tap some rear leds into it as well
also you need to get the jdm gauge cluster to make everything match!!

Installed my leather steering wheel cover. Going to re-do. It somehow shifted while I was stitching, and the bits that were cut out to fit the steering wheel spokes on the side are off by about a half inch each. The center is still somehow properly lined up, though...

I bought them at JapanParts.com not rakuten,
JapanParts specialized in getting Honda Factory OEM Parts too
Thanks for the info. I haven't used Japanparts.com but I'll check them out.
Was that a special order?

Thanks man. Its the non duckbill. Duckbill looks a lot more like a baseball cap lol.
Installed these today, first time ever doing brakes. Much easier than I though it would be, don't know why I was paying someone to do it on past cars

Only issue I had was figuring out how to get the caliper back on at first, didn't realize that it opened the way it does. Now I know though.
Funny my dad was watching me do it (who hasen't touched a wrench in his life and now want a set of these too)
Initial impressions are great, mind you I'm using them on stock rotor.
