2010 Honda Fit new buyer thread! Check in here!
We bought a base Fit with the manual transmission and with taxes it was $16,700.00. I also added an extended warranty for seven years or 84,000 miles and security system so the total price was about $20K after all of that. We did get the 0.9% financing for 5 years. While I hate to pay that much tax, at least we will get some of it back at tax time.
The Fit rides higher than my last car so I am getting used to the higher center-of-gravity, but it is much quieter than my last car, which I absolutely hated and was happy to see it go.

New White 2010 Fit Sport Auto owner here. My lease ended on a 2008 Civic SI and I decided to be economical this time. Picked up my fit for just $16,895 with 0.9% financing for 60 months. At that rate, why put any money down? Funny my payment to buy this fit is actully cheaper than my payment was to lease the SI.
I just tinted the windows this weekend and put in the all season floor mats. I have a set of snows mounted on 14" steelies sitting in the garage (I should probably put them on soon). Thinking about replacing the stereo some day.
Here's a quick picture.

Hah! The higher seating was the first thing I noticed when I drove my Fit for the first time at the dealer.
I traded in my 2004 Subaru last Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and drove home in this (sitting cold, lonely, and wet in the driveway while I am warm and dry inside):

Its my new daily driver, and I am hoping to put ~200K+ miles on it - which will be in about 7 years with my current driving habits.
I loved my old Subaru, but at 160K it was starting to be a little needy - and it usually got only ~25mpg, a little less in the winter, a little more in the summer. I track MPG at each fill up, and since April I had averaged 25.4 in the Subaru. My goal for the Fit is 32mpg, which I know will be pushing the envelope a little with the EPA estimate of 33mpg for my car highway.
Insurance going from the old Subaru to the new Fit only went up $1.32 per six months. Not bad! I got it out the door for a hair over $17K.
I had considered another Subaru, but it would have been another three or four grand more, and the mileage on the current models is the same as it was on the 2004 models - and gas is going back up again.

Two weeks ago I purchased black 2010 Honda Fit Sport with Manual Transmission at Showcase Honda located at 1500 E Camelback Rd, in Phoenix Arizona. My out the door price was $18,000 with few accesories. Accessories included window tint, cargo tray, body molding, floor mats and dealership gave me a complimentary $25 Shell gas card.Overall, the buying process was excellent and was the best car buying experience of my life so far. For past few years I drove a Ford with 4.6L V8 engine cranking out approximately 370HP and my average monthly gas bill was between $250 and $300. I would drive approximately 320 miles on 18 gallons of gasoline. With that being said you can imagine the smile on my face when I paid $26 to fill up my Fit and then I drove 360 miles on it. So far I have 700 miles on my Fit and the engine is breaking in quite nicely. My first tank of gas averaged 36 miles per gallon and my second one averaged 37 miles per gallon. For the first time in my life I feel like Im not being robbed at the gas station. My monthly bill for full coverage on Fit is $60. So far I have no desire to add nothing to my Fit because the car is perfect the way it is. The only addition to it was K&N air filter and AMS engine oil and AMS transmission fluid.
Cute Has Its Limits
is "non-negotiable." So, I'd rather be a Honda owner and am really happy with my Fit, which is cute and operational!
Well I'm sneaking in another 2010...Just got it last night. It is a Sport M/T in white; paid $15,433 plus tax/tags. Did a 180 from my last car--EVO IX MR.
TPMS light already on
so I have to take it back and have that part of the PDI done correctly. Oh well...
Mods planned: nothing really planned; I guess I'll have to wait and see if anything needs to be addressed.
