Just picked up my CPO 2009 Blackberry Pearl M/T Nav on my birthday, 9/27! They threw in brand new floormats in the deal. After a few days, I noticed noise coming from the front....they put on two new front tires (now I have 4 brand new) and an alignment. CPO FTW!!!

Just picked up 2010 Fit Base, manual transmission, storm silver metallic, with splash guards, wheel locks (spend a lot of time in mexico), rear cargo liner, keyless entry and security system. Originally only wanted keyless entry, but dealer made mistake and installed security system as well. Charged me nothing for security system. Dealer had no manual base fits in silver, but got one from one of their other dealerships. Drove it home, about 175 miles and averaged 42 mpg for the trip, mostly highway. Must say I am thoroughly impressed with the car and its ride. No problems with seat comfort or shoddy workmanship. Thoroughly washed it today and found zero defects. Really impressed with the dealership and price was very good. Car price, including freight and options, less California TTL was $15,525 which I could not beat anywhere on the internet. Pleasant experience and enjoy the car mucho.

Thumbs up Fit Is Fab (So Far)

Hey Everyone - My first post. I traded in my 2005 Mini Cooper for my 2010 Honda Fit Sport M/T in Blue Sensation Pearl on September 20. Paid about $19k OTD including all the options I wanted. I got body side moldings, carpet floor mats, interior illumination, cargo net, cargo cover, center console, crystal glazing for the windows, and sport pedals. I got 0.9% financing for 4 years.

I thought I got a decent deal, but after reading through the forum, my hat is off to many of you. I needed my car in a hurry because my Mini Cooper just went berserk on me. After sinking a chunk of money into it and still having major problems, I decided to just cut my losses and trade it in and suck up a car payment after not having one for over a year .

I was looking for a Civic with M/T originally, but the salesperson that I worked with asked me if I had considered a Fit, because an M/T Fit would be easier to locate than an M/T Civic. I can't tell you the number of dealers who tried to talk me into an A/T. But having M/T makes a car fun to drive. And with my commute, I need some fun . I'm so glad my salesperson suggested a Fit because I never would have considered it otherwise, as I didn't know much about the car.

Anyway, to make a long story really long ... my dealer arranged to get me a blue sensation pearl in the Honda Fit Sport with M/T. My first choice was blackberry pearl, but that was just not going to happen! I am really happy with blue sensation pearl. It is just the shade of cobalt blue that I like. I am still a little wistful for the blackberry, but blue sensation is terrific .

Probably didn't do that great on the price, but I love the financing and my timing on the trade-in was great (just 2 weeks before the announced federal investigation of Mini over power steering defects). So, overall, I am happy.

I love the gas mileage so far (about 35-38 mpg with about 750 miles). The clutch takes some getting used to. I am used to more resistance, but I love the shift throw - so easy after driving the Mini Cooper. I also love the room. And I am extremely happy that I did not waste $$$ on a sunroof. The front window is of such wide expanse that a sunroof would have been a colossal waste, IMHO. Not sure about the handling yet - I want some more miles on it before I really put it through its paces. I love the USB interface as well as the aux jack and the upper and lower glove boxes. The space this "small" car has is amazing - the hidden storage is even more of a bonus.

Here is what I don't like: 10 cupholders - fine - but their placement is not especially useful. I really need a place to put my phone when I am using my Google navigation. Why aren't there locks on the glove compartments or a "pause" button for ipods/cds?? Why are the visors so thick?? I can barely get my garage door opener clip onto them. I also dearly wish that heated seats and VSA were options - I surely would have sprung for them.

So there it is, the saga of going from Cooper to Fit. I am so glad to be in a car that has the safety features and the reliability for which Honda is famous. That's something that Mini will never approach, at the rate they are going. My Honda is so much fun to drive, so economical, so easy to care for. Here is a picture of my new baby - her name is Hoshi (Japanese for "star").

I look forward to being a happy Honda owner for many years to come!

Honda Fit Sport Sen. Blue Pearl 2010

I just got mine new 2010 Honda Fit Sport w/o Navi about a month ago. I purchased it with 4 miles on it. I placed a $500 deposit down as it had to still be delivered directly from Japan's factory. I traded in a 2006 Sebring Convertible, owed $6,735. They only gave me $6,000 for it. So I still owed $735. To make up for that, they threw in free items. I love it so far. I have added a K&N air filter to the car.

After discounts (got it down to $17,100 + $6,000 trade in) and $5,500 down (after tax, fee's and add on's, financed at 0.9% total $15,250), I purchased Honda's remote start system (+$690 includes installation), dent, ding and paint repair warranty (+$595), and all season floor mats as well (+$81). Honda gave me, wheel locks, carpet floor mats, cargo tray, and Honda's leather nose mask absolutely free. Not a bad deal.

I plan on purchasing door sills, interior illumination kit. I may upgrade the stereo, but I do like the iPod interface for now. The system sounds descent for being stock.

Took me some time to find this thread, but hello!

About a month ago, I bought a 2010 Sport MT (surprisingly tough to find) in SS. Price was pretty decent at $16,3k, but they screwed me on my trade-in ('95 Accord EX wagon). Oh well. Pretty happy to have my first new car, and looking forward to having it for years to come.

Thanks for being here, FitFreak. I'll get a lot more miles out of my car, literally and figuratively, because of you.

Ok, I'll make my 'official' post here. I am now the owner of a 2010 Fit Sport Automatic, SSM. Got it with the all-season mats, cargo tray, cargo shelf, and rear bumper appliqué for $16,985. Gotta love that .9% financing!

I ended up going to a different dealer than I'd originally planned to, because first dealer had 'misremembered' the trade offer they had made a couple weeks back, and wouldn't give me what they had originally offered. Thankfully, I had a backup matching offer in place, so just went there.

I'm sure I will miss my '08 TSX, but I needed to downsize, and the Fit is a ton more practical for my needs. Love the little size and the physics-defying interior. Fun to drive around, too, kinda reminds me of my old Miata.

Anyway, back to my inagural drive ....

This past weekend, I drove off with my very first Honda. I am a very proud owner of an all-new 2010 Fit Sport 5AT/VSA/Navi in super sexy SSM! The dealer threw in wheel locks and carpet floor mats. After hours of negotiating, I got the car for an awesome deal.

This is my very first "new" car and I'm very happy to be a part of the Jazz/Fit community. I love it so much that I get up extra early to go to work just so I can get inside to drive it and look for any other excuse to take it out for a spin.

New 2010

I have purchased a 2010 Taffeta White Fit Sport AT which is now at the dealership having the optional center armrest installed. This is replacing my 2000 Ranger because I need a weatherproof carrier for my upright bass.
Cost out the door was $18,900 which includes a 5% state sales tax and the above mentioned arm rest. I'll get the floor mats over the internet, as the dealer was wanting too much for them IMO. Also will have the windows tinted at a local laser-cut installer.

the$500 accessories and the 199 dealer fee...and
50% of the protection fee. I would ask them to throw that
so roughly another $1000
don`t forget you`re buying a new car but it`s already towards the end of the 2010 model year with 2011s due out in a few months

The mudflaps are just part of it being a Fit Sport. So you're then paying a whole lot for ~200 bucks worth of parts.

Welcome johnny p!

I traded my 09 Mini Cooper on my 10 Fit, had major problems with the Mini (the car, and the company itself) - I feel your pain!

Love my Fit, you will too! Better mileage than the Cooper on regular gas, handles just as well, and can haul stuff too! (And lower car payment!)

Enjoy!
