Thank you, will do.

Be safe in the Fit and what are your first impressions of it? Not sure how much you have gotten to drive around in it since picking it up.

I have been wanting the Fit for the last 2 years and finally got one last night! I am super excited and love everything about it so far. Will post pics in a few days.

Details below:
2010 Fit Sport BlackBerry Pearl, out the door price of $18,400 w/ tint and pin stripes. Negotiated the protection package for free that comes w/ the wheel locks, rubber trunk mat and floor mats but have to take the vehicle in to get those added.

Looking forward to getting years of reliability and good MPG. Thanks to everyone that contributes to this forum.. there's a wealth of knowledge here and it helped me become an informed shopper because I knew what I wanted before even going to the dealership.

Hey gang:

Just wanted to chime in that I acquired a (the only) Black 2010 Fit Sport MT from Duval Honda in Jacksonville, Florida on 6.10.2010.

I spent several hours searching dealer inventories and this was pretty much the only MT Fit in the entire Sunshine State, and I drove 2.5 hours to get it.

My total OTD price was $17150. The car included wheel locks, cargo area tray, and Honda car care kit. The dealer installed the door edge protection strips (a $237 factory option) for free.

The dealership experience was excellent. I got what I expected for my trade with no haggling on the new car price or my trade-in.

The only downside to buying the car so far away was putting 170 miles on her right away, but alas it was a pleasant drive home! =)

Finally, picked up my second Fit yesterday (first is 2009 base auto).

It's a 2010 Fit Sport Auto TW. $18,400 OTD. Included factory floor mats and an agreement to cut and program the two extra keys I bought from CollegeHillsHonda.com

Not the best deal for sure, but not bad.

All thanks to this great site with the members helping make us smarter shoppers.

Good! Well no it's not a girly car, you can see that most of this forum is guys, most not that much older than you, and the Fit is a very mod-worthy car. Start customizing it and you will be very happy.

Some kids your age take it all for granted and they don't appreciate their privileges, good for you that you do understand your dad's generosity.

And you are all set with the car care products...want to come over and practice on mine while you are waiting for your own???

Yes, I am, but since you're nowhere near me, I don't think my kind invitation to practice washing a Fit will be accepted....

You're a good kid, I can tell, you've praised your parents publicly twice now. Good luck and happiness to you as you get your car.

Well, I finally got my car. Picked it up yesterday even though the dealer got it on Friday (didn't have a good opportunity till Monday).

2010 SSM Sport Fit M/T.

Not in any particular order,

Planned mods/accessories:
tint, door visor, JDM base tail light swap, dual bulb headlight swap, all season floormats, center arm rest, and new head unit (pricey, so might wait on this one)

Considered mods/accessories:
short shifter, door sill trim, diy sri, steering wheel audio control

I'm kinda rusty on my shifting, so I'm wary of the short shifter... Don't want to risk blowing the brand new engine. That said, I don't know if I will push the car hard enough to make use of the SRI. The door sill trim and oem steering wheel audio cntrols (If you swap reel assembly too) are just plain pricey.

I was driving my 1st car a used 2000 green VW new beetle. Let's say that once you're breaks lock up going 45 mph, it's time to get rid of it. After numerous resources, talking to people, & researching EVERYTHING in my budget; my Dad suggested a Honda Fit.

Went to the dealership (in Rock Hill, SC) & saw the Taffeta white with black interior. I fell in love with it. The black interior is perfect for where I work - an industrial plant. After more research, I wanted the FIT in the worse way. I paid my VW off on Friday, & went back to the dealership Sunday for the trade in. They did not have a white one in stock. I was so bummed out since I had to work that Monday 12-hr shift.

My wonderful parents drove my VW beetle back up to the dealership & picked up my FIT. They had to get it from another dealership. Monday, April 19th @ 7pm - I walked out of my plant at the end of my shift. My parents had all the doors open ready for me to view it. Happy does not describe my feelings. I almost cried b/c I had a brand new car. I have a higher monthly payment, but rest assured, a more reliable car.

BTW, for the 1st week, I parked out in the boonies away from everyone else. Everyone at work loves it. Gas mileage is better than the VW beetle, too.

its a fun car so far but
i dont like how the stock suspension rolls so much under heavy cornering
i feel like im going to bump the aero everytime i corner hard
but that should stiffen up with the suspension
for the most part i like it
oh and the breaks took some tme to work in
i still havnt pushed to car so hard because its new
and i donthave my licence yet haha
man japans licence is a pain in the ass to get
they know i can drive so they let me play around a litte
i reversed the sg and crank last time haha

I just purchased a new 2010 Fit Sport Automatic (Red), and I couldn't be happier with it.

The deal I ended up getting was very satisfactory:
0.9% 60-month financing (hooray for the current Honda promotion)
about $400 under MSRP
- then I traded in an ancient ('91) Buick I had around from an older relative who passed recently, and put just $800 down on top of that. In the end, my monthly payments for the 60-month financing will be under $270, which is well within the threshold I set before walking in and starting the negotiations.

I'm more impressed with this vehicle so far than any I've owned. Great little package, and the storage capabilities are unbelievable.

I forgot about this thread...

My previous posts were definitely before I got my Fit... now, I can say in this thread.

I gots me one!

2010 SSM Sport M/T picked up 6/21/10.

Made my first loan payment a few days ago. I put a HUGE down payment so I ended up with a small loan, so the monthly was only $135. I'm over paying each so I can end it quicker. I don't "regret" buying it before this month's financing special... because I wouldn't have gotten it anyway, the only gave me the loan because of my huge down payment.
