I'm back.

Sorry guys. I was gone for a while. I traded in my 2007 Fit Sport for a 2008 Civic. ( Big Mistake). Now I have a 2010 Fit Sport Auto Blue Sensation. I absolutely Love it.

Hey atomic i hear yah the cooper was aesthetically pleasing but the engineering was crappy and unreliable i just didnt get it lol, and yes i am happy with my fit. Prior to the mini i had a yaris hb i deeply regretted trading it in for a cooper

This was a Honda Canada discount, no idea if Honda USA is doing the same. It was a new promo last week.

I have been looking at the fits. Im a previous owner! Honda has 500 dollars in dealer cash and 0.9 percent financing up to 60 months on the Fit right now.
The best deal Ive been offered so far is 16,179 dollars on a white fit sport with the five speed.

thats a decent deal on the Honda fit, but the CDN version of the fit is a cheaper made version, especially the sport model.
No paddle shifters, no tpms, and they use cheap dunlop tires then regular Bridgestones.

and yes..i bought the US version. lol

Yeah, thought about importing, but warranty from a US fit doesn't work in Canada I thought.

yes, you're correct, the warranty is not transferrable from US to canada, or everyone would be buying hondas in the US.
I have a honda fit sport with NAV...Vehicle stability assist, tpms....and the paddle shifters...you can't even get those options in Canada.
what a joke.

the $2500 discount is pretty good, but im happy with my US model fit sport.

I really don't think people use much warranty on the fits anyway. I saved over $5000 so thats enough to cover warranty

I just bought Bridgestone Blizzak tires I hope they work well in the snow and ice.
I was wondering if people ever replace the horn on their Fits? My husband said my horn is pretty weak.

Traded my '07 BMW 530Xi in for a new 2010 Blue Fit Sport. Just got it today with 11 test miles. It still had the plastic on the wheels when I gave my deposit a few days ago. My wife has had her '06 CRV since new in Jan '06. It's been the most trouble free car I have ever seen! Just one set of brakes and tires, but she is hard on a car and drives everyday. I got the cargo tray, all weather and carpeted mats, rear bumper applique, cargo cover, and cargo net. With .9% APR for 5 years from Honda, I will pay just under $400 in interest over the life of the loan. A deal too good to pass up. My payment wwnt down $200 a month! Looking forward to many miles.

Hypomiler

My 2010 Base AT is officially 5 weeks old tonight. I'm neither a modder, racer, shower, nor hypermiler, so I mostly watching the various groups in different forums is just amusing. My car is entirely stock right now, plus the OEM center console and some generic rubber mats. I'm contemplating a Sport key, if I want to get all fancy. :)

Just wondering if there's anything I should do now that I'll regret not doing while she's young. I'm thinking about seat covers. Maybe a dash cover? Not sure I like the look of dash covers, but if it protects the plastic, maybe. I'll never be a guy to wax or even wash a car more than once or twice a year if I have to do it by hand, but if there's any one-time thing I can do to help out the paint before winter I'll think about it.

35 miles on the odometer at purchase, and I'm at 196 now, so 161 miles in 5 weeks. MPG meter reads 27.0, which doesn't sound bad for the number of 2-3 mile trips it's getting. At the rate I'm going it will be a while before I do my second fillup and can calculate my own mileage. (Don't tell her, but I'm thinking about getting my car some gas for Xmas.) I'm doing about the same miles as tietack, or less, so no need to ask about maintenance again: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...-question.html

I'm looking forward to finishing the 600 mi. break-in period next year!

Picked up my 2010 Base MT Blue Sensation on the 14th with 14 mi on it. Just parked in my driveway with 1112mi. Ripped the cheesy hub caps off at the dealer and threw my bike in the back. Driving it pretty aggressively ive been getting around 33mpg.

Honda US is doing a lease with zero down, zero first month payment and $187/mo+ tax payments and I couldnt resist. Now im not rolling a 2001 Chrysler Town & Country Minivan with 178k w00t!! Was getting 20mpg in that hog. factoring fuel savings (37mi each way for work 5 days a week), my payments will be around $80/mo! Selling the T&C will net about 18+ months worth of Fit payments

So far I have tinted the windows rear 5% and front 50% but i think Im gonna go 35% on the fronts, 50 is too light. Ordered up the parts for a DIY SRI thats gonna be fun! Ordered a keyless entry fob and got the dealer to agree to $50 cut and program on the fob I supply. Just got a receiver hitch so I can carry my bikes, I race road bikes a lot so this will be my racing shuttle. Also ordered rubber floor and trunk mats, carbon fiber shift knob and 08 accord horn too. Thinking of so lowering springs and like the T1Rs but with the 17" rims and the streets around here I think I will be better off with the slightly less low Eibach Sports. Like the looks of the DEPO smoke rear lenses too... So much to do!

Got my eyes on a set of these wheels, I really like the matte black wheel finish.

Still need to install the stereo from the minivan and have the dash kit and power cables en route, it was loud and crisp in the minivan so it should be plenty in the Fit...

BTW, anyone thinking of getting a fob for their base, I approached the dealer asking how much for the upgrade. When they quoted dealer price for keyless entry upgrade ($200+) I simply asked for the breakdown on charges. Turns out the fob(s) are $150 and the cut/program is $50. Then I asked the guy if I could just bring in my own fob and have him cut/program for the same $50 charge since its the exact same labor, he agreed.

Lovin the Fit!

You are doing all these mods on a lease? I assume you're planning on buying at the end,if that's possible. Just wondering. Congrats on the great deal! I just opted for the .9% APR for 60 months from Honda. Interest over the 5 years is just under $400. Loving my new car, and low payments.

Haha good catch, yah I forgot to mention that Im buying out the lease at fixed price of $9020 after 36 months, I will be way over mileage anyway.

So ah, its a lease but I will buy it out so Im treating it as my own doing these mods.
