2010 Blackberry Pearl A/T Sport

Picked my brand new Fit up on Friday (3/12) - only had 7 miles on it when I drove it off the lot. I've only driven about 65 miles so far, but I absolutely love it! The only thing I wish it had is radio controls on the steering wheel, but other than that, it has everything I could want in a car. Very happy with her - and looking forward to driving her for the next 10-15 years.

Paid 18,750 OTD (which puts the car price about 16 & some change); traded in my piece of crap Saturn and now I'm a happy member of the Honda Family.

Now all I need is a name.

I hope I qualify for the .09 and get them down to high 15, low 16 area, otherwise, it just makes more fiscal sense to get a 5 door yaris at 0% for 60, and about 15,900 comparatively equipped +TTL. anyone know if theres any hold backs now?
The Yaris did not appeal to me as it was less car for less money. I researched heavily and the Yaris did not measure up at all. A couple more payments a couple years from now are worth it.
I paid $16,339 for my Fit Sport MT in color I wanted. Glad I did, cuz right afterward the Toyota poop hit the fan. Good luck.

My sentiments exactly. We're talking a few hundred bucks and the yaris is not worth the difference.

'10 MT Sport Blackberry Pearl for 16,370+Tax with costco program

Will pick up car tmw when I have time, as the car just got off truck and wasn't able to be prepped an hour before dealer closing. Interestingly enough, there's a deal on civics now, I think $1800 cash back, or dealer hold back, I don't know. We could have bought a dark silver with black interior MT civic lx-s for 16,400. The car was tempting, but the new car smelled, well, fishy, literally. Either that was a message, or thats just how all new civics smell nowadays.

I test drove a yaris first, and it just felt spongy. The shifter was like an oversize rubber golf ball. The trunk was not going to hold my dog. But low price even if optioned out the wazoo, along with 0% apr for 60 is a very good deal. Anyone know if honda is going to have a huge PR blunderfest on some recall any time soon?

I used the costco program, did some back and forth with a few other local dealers as well as the big guys in the cities. some of the dealers offer pricing that seems to be a great place to start negotiating, but after adding the $710 destination charge and document fees often brought the cost up to or over MSRP.

I think the final agreed price was 16,370, with floor mats thrown in. We put down a deposit, did all the paperwork, and final OTD cost was 17,1xx. Tax was just 6xx.xx due to transfer of a car I wrecked on ice a few months back. (for everyone that thinks next years models that will have traction-assist standard will help them in under-steer conditions, you're sadly mistaken)

I really think the best possible price for the car would have been 16,000 flat, but then I remembered I saw ads for used Fits that weren't that far off from my price.

Keep in mind that it can be hard to get the transmission and trim you want- I checked in with dealers from all places a cheap flight away. In the NE territory alone, there were probably 5 MT sports, total. Inventory sometimes changes fast, but if you need a car NOW, then its "beggars can't be choosers".

We absolutely lucked out that the costco dealer had the combo we wanted with our #1 color preference and just 5 minutes from my work. I'm just glad I don't have to put up with a family truckster: http://robjelinek.files.wordpress.co.../truckster.jpg Although I can see that dealer in that movie using a 4-square...

Yeah!!!

Bought a 2010 Fit Sport in Black with manual transmission one week ago. How much fun to drive is this car! I have already put about 900 miles on it. It loves Northern California country roads and especially the wiles of San Francisco city streets. I just can't imagine the Fit with an A/T. For it I have purchased Mugen floor mats and gear shift knob (much much better on the hand than OEM). It came with the all weather cargo floor piece. Next is a "Misfits" logo sticker on the bumper and a proper rear glass tinting.

smiley face x1000

!!!

Steelers, thanks for a detailed update on the current situation. It's always good to hear from someone who is doing his homework. Unless we have a double-dip recession, end of March may be the last best opportunity for aggressive deals for a while.

Factory Hondacare warranty 1390 before close, 1490 after

Where did people get the $800 I saw earlier in this thread? Is there anyway to buy the warranty from a dealership that sells them at that price? 1390 doesn't seem too bad as we put about 20k miles on our cars a year, easily.

they think I'm talking about aftermarket warranty when I mention the deals others were getting. Any links would be a huge help, for 800, I'd definitely get the extended warranty- we live in the boonies and the cars go through a lot of abuse with the winters and mud seasons.

In the past, people (myself included), would buy the warranties online at a place like Bernardi (Bernardi Service Contracts - Bernardi Service Contracts), Curry Honda (Honda Care - Honda Service Contract - Honda Care), or other places (Honda Care Vehicle Service Contract from Saccucci Honda). However, sometime recently (think it might have been in November), Honda forbid dealers to sell HondaCare over the internet (or something like that), which is why all the sites above don't have pricing posted online anymore. You may be able to call them and buy it that way, or at least check pricing...

Hi all, been lurking the forum on and off for months. Planning to buy a 2010 Fit Sport auto in the next couple of weeks.

Its a slight bummer that apparently the 2010 Fit Sports in Canada do not actually have VSA as the brochure indicated.

OK, I give up. What is the costco combo??

I think you got a good price. I paid $31 more (without TTL or taxes added) and didn't get any floormats! It seems like the prices people are quoting on this forum are all pretty close -- excepting the really high ones, which must include GPS -- within a few hundred dollars. When you see what you want, and it seems reasonable, you buy it. why quibble over $100 then see someone else buy it, and you wait another six months or whatever?

Just bought mine on 3/16 from Anderson Honda in Palo Alto. New 2010 Fit Sport Auto in Silver for 15,738 (15,988-250 yelp discount). I didn't get any extras, and CA Sales Tax in my area is 9.75%, so OTD was around ~$17,300 or so.

That seems to be the best deal I could find locally or posted in forums so I went for it. I notice they still are running the $15,988 special (one or two at this price deal) but I think the yelp thing is gone now.

I really really really wanted the stick (originally), but they didn't have any. I think the paddle shifters make up for it though, as you can shift into S and it will hold gears for cornering, etc. I like it so far!

Good luck!

d'oh! $1200 cash back on fits announced today

Naturally, less than 12 hours after I buy a car, a freaking cash back deal is offered. I got an email from the big honda dealer in boston this AM advertising a 1200 cash back offer + .9%. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

When I emailed the dealer I bought from yesterday, they said they didn't have such an offer. Yeah Right!!

After some haggling, I added the 6yr/100k extended warranty. $1100 instead of $1500 and had 'em throw in some "free" mats, too.

Also, the "$100 Deductible" on the Extended Warranty paperwork: Simply insist that you won't pay that, and could they "please put in writing that this deductible will be waived, permanently." They will (or they should).

Car dealers...

NEWBIE ALERT! Just bought a 2010 black A/T Sport yesterday. $17,370 out the door, at 1.9%.

- Would love to cover the seats, but concerned about the airbags. Suggestions?
- Would love to find black badges, front and rear. Do they exist?

Thanks for any advice/direction. Happy to be in the Cult of Fit!

Cheers! Thanks for all the useful information so far on these boards. I'm looking to buy a Fit within the next few months, so just doing some homework. Ideally, I'd like to get a Fit Sport AT in Tafetta White, add a little tint in there and it'll be perfect. These just seem like a smarter buy than a Civic for me right now.

I'm relocating from NYC to Boston and was wondering if anyone in the New England area had any good experiences with dealers or have any recommendations on places to keep in mind. I'll probably approach the bidding war with the dealers via email first.

Thanks so much and hope to join the club real soon!

in Boston, contact Bernardi

I just got an email from them, they are discounting fits 1200.00. So you should be able to get a base fit for about 13,800 or so, and sport should be around 14,500+. a great deal- but make sure they have what you want. FYI, they are one of the dealers that do NOT put destination and doc fees in the price. They actually charge $299.00 for doc fees, the highest Ive ever seen)
SO, make sure any quote you get has the destination and doc fee included.

Just picked up a 2010 Orange Fit Sport AT in Wisconsin for $17,450 ($18,500 OTD) at 0.9%. Sounds like I overpaid! It was $1,000 off the sticker price and lower than other local dealers would give me, so I'm pleased anyway.

i'm surprised if you get $1000 off a 2010 fit, thats pretty decent, althought there is no change from 2009 to 2010, i'd pickup a used one if I could :
