I have driven both in "Stock Form" and I can tell you that the new (GE8)RS has a much softer suspension over the previous years GD3... But the that is something that can be chaged with a little bit of sus~work ...One good point about the RS is that steering response is much better compared to the 1st gen Fit..... It`s kind of a give and take type of trade off...

any updates?

Anyone know the answer to any of this basic stuff yet???

USDM 2009 Fit
  1. MSRP for Base and Sport?
  2. EPA mpg rating? all versions
  3. What type AT?
  4. When will they start making them?
  5. Are they still 100% made in Japan?
  6. Same factory as the 2008?
  7. When with the last 2008 be made?
  8. In what location does the extra length show up over 2008. Front leg room, rear leg room, rear storage area, inside height?

One of the first things I'll do to my '09 is pull the useless rear spoiler off, even if I have to paint body-colored plugs for the holes. From the pics above, the ones sans spoiler look so much cleaner.

While on one hand I wish the 08's had that engine, I don't like the body. Looks like a prius.

Found this on a Singapore Honda forum. I hope we get similar seats with nice side bolsters.

Seat Fabric

I LOVE that kind of seat fabric. It has a neoprene type feel to it--like a wetsuit. It seems like it would be cooler than standard fabric.

Though, I have only sat in a Pontiac Vibe that has that fabric (i liked those seats) and even the 2008 Chevy Cobalt uses a similar fabric, so it can't be expensive!

And there's an armrest in that Singapore interior above... attatched to the driver's seat and raised up.

That looks like a Noblesse Fit. Gorgeous.
Unlike some on here, I do like much of what the '09 Fit will offer, sleeker styling, but more particularly the interior upgrades, but I decided to go ahead and purchase the '08. I love it as well and am absolutely thrilled with it so far.
Re: those seats from the Honda Singapore forum, I haven't seen anything that references that the US version will get those. But they are hot!
