Thanks, but I have that one, and I don't plan to take the bumper off ever again. I'd rather buy a new car.

Sunday's North Georgia Grocery Run

Jam, Jelly, a half-wheel of amazing cheese, and if that's not enough, a backdrop 'fit' for anything with 4 wheels, but how delightfully, for our "Fit".

Going and returning, a Garmin-guided (Wake up Little Suzy), beautiful drive.

Oil and filter change plus tire rotation. Also, my Coverking dash mat came in. I'm not planning to attach it to the dash - just laid it on. It really does help get rid of the glare on sunny days.

Would like to see some pix of the new dash mat and a supplier link when set up Ben.

Can you give me some info on that dash cover? I went to their site and found nothing about the dash covers. Then I got stuck in a slow, endless chat with someone. Lots of questions, no info about the cover.

I got mine from Carid.com

2016 Honda Fit Dash Covers | Velour, Suede, Polycarpet, ABS

I got the Coverking (black velour) for $34.99 plus $10 for shipping.

I would take a pic for you but I'm on the road and my cell phone takes awful pictures. The mat just lays there. Doesn't move even though it's unattached. But because it's not attached, it looks kinda sloppy. Later on I may smooth it out more and attach it to the dash. I just needed it to get rid of the glare, which it does quite well.

Supplier link is: 2016 Honda Fit Dash Covers | Velour, Suede, Polycarpet, ABS

Thanks! I might at least consider this as a summer add-on to keep the glare under control.

Congrats Stembridge! "Highlights" would be interesting and welcome, especially regarding how your Fit captured it's distinguished place in the competition mix.

... and how did you shift the CVT? "S" mode with or without paddles, or "D"rive mode (with or without)?

I'll post a gopro vid as soon as I get it edited down. I started in S1 and let the rev limiter shift for me. I realize now (after sleeping on it - I was seriously buzzed yesterday after the event!) that I was forgetting to paddle "downshift" into the turns, which is why the car seemed sluggish out of some turns - it was in too high a "gear." Being my first time, I was in complete sensory overload. It's easy to think through exactly how you're going to drive the track when you walk it prior to the event - it's a whole 'nuther thing when it's coming at you at speed.

See my mod thread for more pics.

Over the long haul, it will also protect the dash from fading and cracking.
