so I went and looked at W*R vs T1R header photos online, seems like the former may have a lot better clearance for the KWSC kit? but looks like the T1R may flow better -- the W*R basically has a 90 dergee upper junction!

They are designed differently. T1R headers are 4-1 headers while W*R are 4-2-1 headers from the looks of the pics. Can't say if W*R ones will give more clearance as they run up higher than the T1Rs because they are 4-2-1's. Both will be close. The stock headers are so freakin tiny...

xorbe- T1R header FTW!!

Call and talk to Ben at A&J about the difference-- it will be clear that T1R is better for the Fit (IMO). KW s/c will fit with the T1R header says OJR.

The header fits yes but the pipe to the right sits about a quarter inch off the silicone 90 degree bend from the compressor to the intake pipe.

Header wrap will take care of that so it's a non issue, I'm not too worried.

Header Clearance

JDMChris

I think you said you had a Megan header. Is it as tight as the T1R and the heat problem a non issue?

Will keep you guys posted. It's definitely a lot of fun!! Some stupid guy in an RSX wanted to race me on my way home, but I bit my lip and didn't bite. Stupid street racers...his whole passenger side was dented in lol! Just pulled up beside me, I think he saw my gauges, then started to tap his gas, went around to the other side, did the same thing...just ignored him...

Now that's some crazy self control! I wouldn't have been able to resist.. but then again, if it was a Type-S I probably wouldn't want to try.. going 0-1 (besides leaving JDMish behind) minutes after I got boosted would've been pretty upsetting... lol.

I saw that guy, he pulled up to me too lol what a douche with his plastic window. He gave me a few stomps with his gas pedal, i wonder if thats how he wrecked his car the first time

My car pails in comparison in speed now, the pull on yours is amazing and the sound i must say is like a small jet engine, I wonder how the videos i took came out. I'll check them out sometime after I get moved.

Hey JDMish, you think it was the brake lines or AC lines hitting the frame or one another? I don't think the belt was touching anything cuz it was definitely a vibrating sound.

I'd say the brake/ac lines are within reach of each other and thats causing the vibration at the low rpm. We can try and reuse those clips from the brake lines to secure them even more.

I'm pretty sure it's probably the a/c line still and maybe a couple brake lines. I can't see anything else touching or rubbing.

Illusive hitting up Speedtech later on today?

Boosted fit isn't as fast as a RSX-S?

Yeah I think so too. Hopefully we can get a lift and put some stuff between them or those clips to stop it from rattling. As long as they aren't hitting belts, I'm ok with it. Will check again tonight on the garage floor to see if there are any leaks, but I don't think so.

I'll be RAISING HELL at Speedtech today. Freaking idiots...get this Fitfreaks:

Ordered Oil Temp Gauge. Said they didn't have it. Only water temp in time for install. Fine. Installed water temp. Plug it in, turn it on...ITS A FREAKING OIL TEMP GAUGE!!! WTFFFFFFF!!!

Doesn't the RSX-S have like 200HP?

I think I can keep up with it, but I will need a turn to beat it hahaha. Definitely don't condone street racing at all. I'll find out when I take her to the track.

it does, but its also over 2800 lbs.

Yea, street racing's stupid. I was just kinda sad when Yeefit suggested the Fit wouldn't keep up with a RSX-S

Speedtech FTL!

If you weren't getting a free ride into the show this weekend I'd be cursing them even more.
