REXXXXXXX can you elaborate on your boost leaks? Would like to hear where you are finding yours.

Oh and anyone who has installed some gauges, if you installed a Oil Pressure Gauge, how many PSI should I expect my oil pressure go up to?

this came from a temple of vtec article. i dont know if it is inner or outer. probably inner. that's what matters. all i know is the 50mm is significantly larger than stock looking at it.

My friend, you are close.

Mine runs at about 80-100 cold start with 10-30 oil then down to 25-65 when at normal temps depending on RPM from 25 at idle up to 65 or so at anything over 3000.

hmmm ok thanks Claymore. When I get up to 4000 or so, it is ~80PSI, then on the way up to 6500, it jumps up to ~90-95.

On a cold start, it idles around 80-85PSI

Yep scared the crap out of me on the first cold start and it almost pegged the needle. Mine probably goes as high as yours at 6500 but at that speed I'm trying to hang on due to the extensive torque it's putting out and my face gets all stretched out of shape from the massive acceleration from my N/A Jazz and it's hard to read the gauges with the trees in the background flying by at those speeds.

So now that the injector upgrade has been removed from leonines car, does that mean there is a significant drop in power? meaning, are ppl essentially only getting approx 122whp, and ~110tq? from what I remember the injector upgrade brought the KW kit to 145whp, ~125tq to the wheels.

It's great that everything works well now, but now you won't be getting as much power as you hoped for... but the 122hp/110tq was with stock exhaust right? meaning now you can run a header and cat-back, so that should give some better numbers?

What if you ran the Hondata Reflash Package with the upgraded 310cc injectors? That should probably get you more power right?

Sorry for all the question marks, but I have decided to get this kit and will be picking it up in person this july and I want to make sure it is the right choice for me.

alright, alright i ran 16.8... pretty bad. but that was at full weight, less than half boost, and AC running (it was hot as hell, i 4got to shut it off lol)
Im ordering t-bolt clamps for the whole system, cuz even at 5 psi i've noticed the Fisher Price clamps that come with the kit tend to move a little even after tightening... i've had to fix the same boost leak about 4 times now All I have to fix now is the 2 brake lines that rattle every once in a while and I'm good. When it runs at its peak, it's OH SO SWEET.
If the kit is hooked up correctly, with properly tightened hose clamps, you should have no leaks. Make sure to use a nut driver or socket to tighten the clamps if you feel you cannot get a proper torque with a screwdriver.
The shielded hose clamps included are made to be able to fit into the tight areas of the engine compartment easier than other clamps. Some clamps you simply cannot fit into areas.

so far i have noticed a drop in "oomph" when i floor it. but as my mechanic explained and i already figured there is a trade off between performance and reliability. so with my current exhaust setup if i kept running the injector upgrade i would no doubt be harming my engine. I have always planned on keeping my ride for a LONG time. i want the most performance while keeping the reliability factor as high as possible. that is why i chose the sc in the first place.

Now the power difference is not extremely different but is noticable. so either i drop my whole exhaust and upgrade to 60mm or keep what i have and live with it. being i am so fond of my current setup and the sound i am leaning more towards staying where i am which is still NICE. i am sure i am making better power than just the "Base" kit alone.

Of course this is still all speculation until my ecu completes its ODBII tests. If so i am a happy camper ; if not i am back to sqare one

We shall see.

leonine,

You have it a little backwards.
You have no power drop with the removal of the injectors. If anything, you should be seeing a power gain. Also, the injector upgrade setup in no way was harming your engine! The additional fuel was not causing any harm at all.

Hey OJR,

Since Leonine is having issues, possibly stemming from his exhaust, how can this be corrected? I think a lot of Fit owners who will buy this kit will have so many different exhaust combinations....

When I come to pick up my kit, and the Hondata reflash package, my setup will be a Megan Header, T1R B-Pipe, and Greddy Ti-C axleback what problems might I run into? the same as Leonine? I don't plan on doing a down pipe/test pipe.. I'm sure my exhaust diameter is 50mm.. and not 60mm... will the Hondata reflash correct these initial problems ppl are experiencing?

Based on what Oscar and I talked about earlier over PM. You shouldnt run into any issues with your exhaust when you go hondata.
