Will paypal go after this guy legally if they see so many claims against him and are losing all this money refuding people? I assume paypal has all his info.

I'm beginning to think the tally may reach 3 grand eventually, if there are more holdouts. Anyone who is owed money, you're not getting it back from him. Put your name on the list!

I think we should not take the total down when paypal gives out a refund. John Perez still owes that money to somebody, it's just now paypal instead of the customer.

opened a dispute with PayPal

I opened a dispute with PayPal, but they rejected it immediately, they said it is past the 45 day expiration period.

So basically I just lost $150, no way to get it back.

I doubt it, not a lot of people have bothered contacting the local police department. Paypal can't do anything about it so they just accept their losses.

CC company doesn't care, it's been beyond 90 days. They said if I had called in during the statement period of the charge that they may have been able to help.

Unless you are bleeding or otherwise dying the police don't give a shit.

If they get a stack of reports it will get attention. If its a few here and there then you are right.

If you paid via paypal and dispute with you cc, paypal can ban you... it's against the TOS, and all a cc chargeback does is yank the money from paypal's pocket, not iKona's.
