Wow what the F iKona is not over 50 years old, is he? I just wouldn't expect an old dude to custom mold fiberglass and much worse; rip people off--I would have guessed he is 20-25.

I'd gladly do something if there was something I could do without spending money I don't have...I'm not giving up on trying to recover the money but there just isn't a whole lot I can do without hiring a lawyer.

Part of the problem is Illinois law requires the amount you were defrauded to be $300 or more I believe to be a Felony.

So if solbrothers and rushlow (apparently the only ones $300 or higher) would file with the police, that would probably help motivate the department to make it a bit more of a priority.

And true, a lawyer would only be cost effective if you got say 10 or more guys to chip in.

If there are enough people that were ripped off through Paypal and he never delivered file an official complaint with the Chicago DA's office and a criminal investigation will be started.

Paypal WILL refund the money to you if the good were not delivered. The only reason they will not refund you is if the funds are no longer in that person's account.

If he took money and ran from a bunch of people Paypal has all the records and you can easily press charges against him.

No, any transaction beyond 45 days old is no longer eligible for a dispute, whether or not they have the money. So the only way I could be refunded is if iKona went back to the transaction and clicked refund.

The Scion link provides a lot of info. Go to page 1 and read. It's crazy.

wow guys.. sorry to hear about everyone's issues with ikona.. Plenty of the scionlife members have been here frequently avidly trying to WARN all of you and the admins but would get banned the second we said his name.

I only wish we coulda caught him sooner.. I haven't read through the last 13 pages but good luck to all of you. It's too bad there were people who didn't want to believe ikona was here to scam you even after I provided links to threads over 80 pages long.

paypal is a viable option btw if you haven't passed the 90 day payment mark for your item.

I saw a few warnings awhile ago and wrote ikona off for any potential purchases.

I so wish i got to you guys all sooner to give a heads up warning but i didnt know he had jumped ship to this forum to cause more issuse. Ive met thes kid in person once at a show. They way bussiness is did with him is just plain sad. The few of you my fellow fitfreak members that got any product from him are quite lucky!! The guys that still havent got thier money back im sorry. This kid scamed so many people i personaly know that i lost count.

If i see or get any means of contact with him through out this years show season(if he dares show his face) I will get what ever info i can to the mods so hopefully anybody that hasnet had thier issuse resolved can get it done finally.

The kid that was doing the deals could have built a good business and done well financially, but he lacked character, sense of responsibility and honesty..... In the long run his character flaws will cause him far more loss than the people that he took advantage of....... His bad karma will do him in if it hasn't already and I hope like hell it has and that he is living in a world of shit for the rest of his life.

One year since payment and I have not been contacted or received anything ordered from iKona.
