I am right there with you. I never thought I would get this way about an armrest, but I don't like driving without one. People look at me strange when I talk about it.

The top slides out on a track and clicks into place. The same goes for sliding it back. No button or release is required for the slide to occur.

Yes. You have to purchase the two seperately. I ordered the 1.5A, 1.5S, 1.5W Black/Gray(010C) armrest. The color looks slightly off probably due to the flash of the camera reacting differently on the cloth material than the plastic. The color matches the black interior perfectly.

Is it worth it? (Its a lot of money for something I could probably go with out)

I prefer to have it in the normal position. Having the lid extended out does not work for me while driving the MT. But it is comfortable to just rest my arm. Go figure.

Having bought the Zeta Products version of the drop-in arm rest that is not foldable but does have a lot of space inside for CD's and stuff (cell phone, etc.), I sort of wish that I had saved up the three times cost and purchased the JDM console. The extra space available in the front compartment, and the ability to pull the armrest FORWARD or backward makes the expensive console worthwhile.

The Zeta rest is nice, inexpensive, and better than nothing, but it is most of the time not far enough forward for true comfort, and other times it gets in the way (like when you are "canyon carving" and need room for your right elbow).

Congratulations on your new mod. I will join you one day.

I will probably remove the mounting screws from my Zeta rest, and replace them with industrial strength Velcro, so that I can pull the rest out when I need more room.

Just went to japanpart.com and couldn't find a listing for the console. I apparently snoozed, and I losed.

All the difference of an "S".

JapanPart.com is incorrect.

I guess my patience factor is set on low. Found it on the 4th page when I went for interior and exterior accessories. Kinda surprised they don't have any taillight options. Or am I being Mr. Magoo again?

armrest consoles available in U.S.A

Hey everyone just wanted to let you know that www.jdmland.com have started carrying these armrests in stock. This is great especally for those of us who don't want to pay customs fees. I have emailed Genuine Honda Accessories, News, and Information from College Hills Honda but they never got back to me on an e.t.a. for their armrest. Hope this will help someone out.

Armrest comparisons

So I have bookmarked links to at least 3 different armrests and want to order one. At this point, I am wondering which to get. Anyone get a particular one they are very happy with, or that they really don't like?

I've been looking at the adjustable on from jdmland.com, the one from Zeta, and the one from QualityAutoInteriors.com

Any suggestions/warnings? Thanks guys!
Kitty

Adjustable armrest?

The jdmland site lets you order the colsole with or without the 'adustable armrest'. If you order without the adjustable armrest you get $65 off.

I just want the extra storage space, and don't care about the adjustable part, so......

If you pick order without the adjustable armrest does it mean you don't get ANY armrest with the console, or that the armrest you get won't be adjustable, i.e. slide back and forth?

I think it really depends on how much you want to spend because as you probably know, the range is quite drastic. If money is no issue than go with the jdm console, it's an adjustable Honda product so of course it goes right with the car. The zeta one has lots of believers and is affordable, you can choose the folding or non folding. But the quality auto interior one I would be hesitant to choose only because I tried to purchase it, it's a happy median between the two, and 1. could not purchase via PayPal like they offered (I wanted to be able to secure my purchase, blah blah blah) and 2. could not get in touch with customer service after several phone calls and emails. So I just don't trust them now.

I'll just save up and go jdm, haven't heard any complaints.

I have a zeta folding armrest. Quality of the armrest itself is good. The mounting hardware has a cheap brittle feel to it (but so far has held up). Installation is awkward and the mounting system seems a bit fragile.

I have nothing to compare this to, so maybe they are all this way.

I bought the Zeta non-folding rest because of the large interior space (to hold 5+ CDs in jewel boxes and cell phone). For the price, it's a good buy, but for me it does not stick out far enough forward for real comfort. It is better than nothing, however. Some day I will probably get the JDM console.

I just ordered the JDM one from jdmland.com. I am excited to get home and hope it is waiting for me! I ordered that, the JDM Honda badge front and rear, and the Spoon antenna...PLUS...I have my tanabe springs, underbar and strut bars waiting to get installed too...UGH! So much work!

I will report when the armrest console is in...But I like the fact that it is OEM Honda and will match perfectly.

Kris
