Headlights and js grill

Changed the old hazed headlight to new ones!. Went with black and not silver. Also added my authentic J's grill not sure if I want to paint it or not

Where did you get the grill at??

I actually found J's racing number online and had them re make one for me it took 3 months to get in I could barely understand the guy but he did catch that it was usdm and had them make it. It cost around 340 shipped. Pricey but authentic if you want I can link the email to the rep

True true it dose cost slot but I couldn't find a grill I liked and the oem one was not for me here are a couple of more shots of it

I say paint it but find a way to paint that middle piece behind black or cut it. Guess I'll never see myself owning one ever��

Installed new brakes/rotors and replaced brake fluid.

At 283,000 miles now...

Making a list of other minor maintenance the car needs.

So this is what Canada does to a zeta dead pedal... So I stripped it down to bare metal, painted it with three coats of POR15, sanded with 400 grit, primered and then I painted with some leftover rust-oleum "carbon mist" which is a very subtly sparkly dark gun metal grey/black type colour. I then tried the special rust-oleum anti slip clear paint. I did like 4 dust coats. I was very disappointed, it didn't make my pedal really very grippy at all. It is barely rougher than a regular painted surface... If I can find some of that skateboard like grip tape I'm putting that on there. All in all, glad to have my dead pedal back.

So my from valence was yet again broken and needed repairing and when I unscrewed the 5 bolts holding it in place, to my horror, 4 bolts snapped . So I took the sucker off and no amount of penetrating oil would loosen those bolts. I drilled right through them and even going all the way through didn't release the bits of bolt that was fused to the metal.

So I got a tap set from the hardware store for 30$ and rethreaded 4/5 bolt holes. The proper threading is metric, 6mm I believe. I got 5 new bolts from Honda and slathered them in antiseize before reinstalling my valence. In the picture of me tapping the hole, you can see that the plastic tongue is separated. I got a fantastic epoxy repair kit from Dominion Sure Seal for 17$ and I used reinforcing fibreglass mesh on the top and bottom to reattach the tongue. It's not essential really but if this tongue is broken, I've found that it creates a unsightly gap between the spoiler and the front fascia.

Used my new low profile jack (still not low profile enough to reach the damn cross member from the front or the side ) to jack up the car and do a transmission fluid change (and oil change while I was at it). When I last had my transmission out of my car, I changed the input shaft bearing and gave my tranny to my mechanic with two bottles of Honda MTF. I felt like my car wasn't shifting well so I decided to see if my tranny was under filled. When I cracked open the fill plug, tranny fluid came spewing out which tells me that it was way overfilled somehow... Perhaps the lift was crooked? Plus, the real slap in the face was that the fluid looked very dirty and a yellow greenish color. I did change my tranny fluid before and even at its most dirty, Honda MTF looks pinkish purplish. So I don't know what my mechanic put in there but I had a 1/2 bottle of MTF laying around from my las change so I bought an extra bottle and some new gaskets and decided to be done with it. I poured in about 1.6 litres and only very little MTF overflowed so I'm guessing the tranny takes about 1.5 litres.

With that other stuff my mechanic put in, I was missing shifts (and clashing gears) about twice a month. Last I looked in the tranny, the synchros didn't look perfect either. Since I put in the Honda MTF, it's like night and day; my gearbox shifts perfectly and I don't need to force the shift lever to the end of each throw by fear of missing a shift. So I'm very happy I caught this problem and I hope that the crap my mechanic put in there didn't create too much damage. I suspect it was in there for about a year :/

Here is my fit sport minus the valence. Looks dopey but now it's back on I know my car is not level in the pic; I was already done my MTF change and decided to get rid of the rear jack stands to have my engine at an angle to better drain out the old oil.

Changed my wheels back to the OEM sport ones since grad school classes are going to start next week. I also changed the oil today and got my car inspected.

Once the new passenger airbag arrives at my local dealer and they replace the recalled one, I should be set until next summer.

Needs wide splitter soon to compliment the canards.



I call this my GD3signs V1 canards. I'll have this painted or wrapped carbon fiber vinyl, which ever I decide later.
