What did you do to the GD Fit today?
A few days ago my oxygen sensors were finally replaced. It my just be my butt dyno, but the Fit runs a lot better. And I can hit boost again!
I was feeling really motivated so I went home and tried to tackle the leather shift boot mod. I got the center console out and removed everything but then realized I didn't have four screws to screw the new shift boot to the old mount. So everything went back in the car.
Then I decided to wire up a tablet I got. My new head unit has two USB inputs and one is already wired to the storage compartment of the center console so I ran the second wire to the passenger side and through the dashboard. Then I thought about it more, and decided to undo everything I just did and wire it to the driver's side. I use the Nexus 7 (2013) as my gauges using the OBDLink app and the Bluetooth OBD sensor. Using Tasker I programmed the tablet to wake up and turn on Bluetooth when it senses power. Then it starts the OBDLink app and connect via Bluetooth to the OBD2 sensor. Then it pops up a dashboard with speed, boost, engine coolant temp, and other sensors. Tasker turns everything off and puts my tablet to sleep when power is lost. The tablet mounts to a suction cup mount attached to the A-pillar window on the driver's side after I moved it from the passenger's side.
After admiring my work, I realized that I couldn't remember the last time I washed the Fit. So I washed it and backed it back into the garage. Before washing it I rotated the tires and cleaned each of them. Rotation and cleaning tool an hour from jacking it up to putting it back on all fours.
Hopefully this weekend I'll get around to that oil change it still needs.
Looks good! I didn't see this until just now.

I drove my GD for the first time in a year this week. So I make all my recent work in one day lol. Pulled the k20 out, installed Competition Clutch Super Single with custom pedal stop, did some welding on my header, converted to Integra TypeR brake master cylinder, S2000 clutch master cylinder, installed DC sports strut brace (rock solid with larger hardware), installed Mishimoto aluminum radiator, NRG quick release and Sparco steering wheel, oh so many more mods to come that I have had to put on hold. Write ups on mods coming as well. Next is brake master cylinder brace to remedy the massive amount of firewall flex. Hope to do some things to my GE this year as well.
Regarding the innovative mounts, does anyone use the red 60a bushings? I was thinking of going with those since I already have the Ingalls ETD on max tightness and I can tighten or loosen that if need be.
The engine itself doesn't rattle. That thing might as well as have been welded on with how the new mounts make it feel. The rattles come from the stiffer mounts shaking the chassis instead of absorbing some of the engine vibration. I have a constant dashboard rattle right above the air vents, the top part of the passenger side b-pillar cover (where the seat belt is bolted to) rattles, and the driver's door panel rattles until I elbow it really hard or just rest my arm on the window sill. Your rattles may be similar or different, better or worse. If you didn't know me and saw me back up in reverse you'd think I didn't know how to drive a car with a manual transmission because it's all jumpy. I don't know it that's due to the mounts and/or the new clutch and/or just a worn-out transmission.
I've had a fairly quiet winter, but now that it's getting warmer out its going to be install time!! Was able to install my mishimoto radiator a few weeks ago, installed a civic r18 throttle body last weekend, and I've got a throttle body spacer and a new apexi intake on the way. Its almost time to put on the summer rims, CF hood, and the CF cowel scoop I ordered last fall.. Yay warm weather!!
Ugh... I'm horried at keeping track of things. Been busy in the last month to even keep up with my own build thread. haha
In the last 6 to 8 weeks... activities listed from oldest to most recent.
Late January: Did EP3 SI Rear disc conversion with Scarebird conversion brackets and Techna-Fit custom brake lines. Did not install parking brake cables due to time constraints.
Mid-3rd week of February: Ditched OEM EP3 SI pads for Hawk HP+s. Daily drove Fit for a few days to help quicken the bed in process.
Feb. 21st: Autocross at Houston Police Academy. Came 2nd in class with heat cycled out Yoko AD08Rs and unfamiliar brakes since that was my first event with rear disc.
Photo credit to David Leung who is almost always out there shooting at the event! ^.^

Feb. 26th: Ditched the AD08Rs and installed a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE-71Rs for autocross.
Feb. 28th: Replaced factory drum parking brake cable with EP3 disc parking brake cable. Still need to do some adjusting to get the parking brake to hold to my preference.

How do you like the difference in braking with the rear discs?
Still adjusting to the current configuration. I will openly admit that is nice to have rear brakes that actually WORK for once.
When the brake pads on both the front (Carbotech AX6, Power Slot slotted rotors) and rear (Hawk HP+, O'Reallys? cheapie blank rotor) axles are up to temp the car seems a quite a bit more rear biased... So I will be attempting to adapt to that OR find a solution if I cannot. Including but not limited to slotted discs or pad material change.
OEM/stock Fit and OEM/stock EP3 SI pads would be a good starting point for someone who is wanting a good baseline. This wasn't too much of an option for me since this is for autocross.

Finally had nice enough weather this weekend to do some upgrades and get my car out of winter mode! Put the CF Seibon hood and Koenig feathers back on, installed the CF cowel scoop I picked up last fall, installed the throttle body spacer to go with the r18 throttle body I put in last weekend, and upgraded the brakes to EBC slotted rotors and EBC green stuff pads.. And I've got more goodies on the way ;-)
