What did you do to the GD Fit today?
How often should we change out our transmission fluid?
I'd like to know this as well. Haven't changed mine yet, 08 fit with 88k miles. Is it as simple as draining and refilling?
I drove my GD for the first time in a year this week. So I make all my recent work in one day lol. Pulled the k20 out, installed Competition Clutch Super Single with custom pedal stop, did some welding on my header, converted to Integra TypeR brake master cylinder, S2000 clutch master cylinder, installed DC sports strut brace (rock solid with larger hardware), installed Mishimoto aluminum radiator, NRG quick release and Sparco steering wheel, oh so many more mods to come that I have had to put on hold. Write ups on mods coming as well. Next is brake master cylinder brace to remedy the massive amount of firewall flex. Hope to do some things to my GE this year as well.

Mounting it to the brake booster was no problem. I also installed Fit reservoir so that I could access it to fill it, went on directly. The issue is that the Fit uses a European style bubble flare for the line connection, all other Hondas (already s2k, Integra, civic, etc) use a more common double flare. I didn't want to make new lines because I plan to delete the booster at some point and will be making new lines then. So I cut the stock lines and added short sections with a double flare union and then double flare connection at the master cylinder.
I bought my 08 fit sport last wk and the previous owner said he changed the coil packs and the spark plugs. Well 1 day of owning the fit and the cel came on, along with bad gas mileage and a fuel smell.. code read misfire cylinder 3. I did some research and seems this is a common issue so I decided to double check the previous owners work and see if he changed what he said. Come to find out he changed 1 coil pack and had 2 different brand spark plugs. Everything was cheap parts. So what I did was order the oem brand coil packs along with the 4 ngk plugs that are recommended and I changed everything out today. So far car is driving better, gas doesn't seem to be wasting fast like it was and dosent smell like fuel in the car. I'm hoping it continues to drive good and treat me good, I always make sure to do what's needed to make my cars last and run good. I think I'm going to do a valve adjustment soon as well since I hear alittle ticking and I'm sure it was never done.

Yep not bad at all Reme. But Holy Cow 88K is alot of miles on these little gear boxes.
M/T is easier to me. But A/T is real picky about the level! Not Too Much!

Two cold Chicago winter days and the third day my gd3 did not start. I knew I should have started it the previous days but it proves that I need a battery. Luckily my close friend works at NAPA.
**Also if anyone knows where I can get sport sideskirts PLEASE let me know. Ballin' on a budget**

Got mine into the garage to poke around under the hood this evening:
1. Bought exterior lighting to replace a set of burnt out bulbs. Replaced driver and passenger side wipers. Noted that the old wipers were 'Mitsuba' and could very well have come with the car from Japan. Started uncapping stuff under the hood and discovered air filter (in a box about three sizes smaller than remembered) and about a hundred leaf fragments on the dirty side of the filter screaming and begging for freedom. Made disparaging remark to self about failing to predict this.
2. Made noise about the intake and exhaust manifolds being on the 'wrong' sides of the cylinder head.
3. Fluid check. Oil looks good, but --
4. "Blue coolant . . . ?!"
5. Stuck finger in radiator fill neck to investigate. Smelled ethylene glycol. Wondered aloud what else had changed between the '88 Honda and the Honda in possession now. Replaced radiator cap onto radiator.
6. Got indoors to warm up. Looked up coolant -- confirmed legit. Yaay.
7. Shopped around for air filters. Yup. K&N's went up since the last time purchased. Predicted that pretty much spot-on.
So yeah . . . the TL;DR is I got to know my car a little better.

P.S. I did get around to some additional TLC -- I changed the air filter and ran a bottle of injector cleaner in a newly filled tank. I don't know if I'm saying too much, but I'm fairly convinced this vehicle and I have finally come to an understanding -- we had some issues going in that I was willing to take on and the seller was willing to deal; I've just been keeping quiet about them because they've been manageable (and talked about to death on this forum) and I've finally, I think, conquered the lion's share of them tonight.
Suffice it to say tonight's excursion has been worth it.
