The smaller metra pin fit into the Q connector without having to pull the clip apart or anything. I was able to push the pin into the back on the connector until it was all the way in. However, the connector retainer does not lock into the metra pin. You can pull the pin back out, but it is a snug fit. I had to use a small screwdriver to fully seat the pin into the connector.

You've got a 50/50 chance of putting the pin in the right way. If the hole is blocked when seated... pull it out, turn it around 180degrees and try again.

To actually remove the pin, I used a pick (small ice pick with a handle) and pushed it into the rectangular pin release slot as far as it would go. I then pulled on the back of the wire to get it to come out.

so what your saying is the small connector from the metra will work
on the Q. correct?
what about the big connector on the metra? does that work with the
stalk?

I found this topic from Honda Element Owners Club, i Don't know if it helps.

after working on this mod, my back was sore! Im too old to be modding. But if you have any extras, I'll risk another back injury to complete this mod.

OK, so I take this as official confirmation that the wiper-side connector and the Q connector are indeed DIFFERENT. Crap!

Oh, I'm first in line to buy a spare from you LOL! Assuming you don't go nuts with pricing here

EDIT: OK, maybe I'm second in line!

I'd like to be third in line. I have the pins from the Canadian in japan and have no idea which connector they fit and I don't have the new arm yet. I also need pins for winkers that are on the way. edit: I need pins for heated mirrors too. edit: LOL, didn't know you were staring a business did you.

w00t!

I just got my new wiper stalk in today... so I wouldn't mind joining the line.

BTW, i also did the cargo light mod (Acura RDX switched cargo light). Easy as pie. I'm not expecting the wiper stalk mod to be quite so easy....

cheers,
Schlappette

Got the new Wiper stalk already! Now just sitting put until we can all figure out the right pin type to use. Thanks for everyone who's been contributing so far, this is going to be an awesome mod. The Wiper Stalk will look 'Stock', it is an exact match in color, texture, font etc.

(The one I got for my 2002 CR-V was from an RSX, the closest thing at the time, and it was slightly off in texture... but I see these differences where others don't!)

I don't think I'm willing to shell out this kind of money for this kind of mod, but if anyone wants to do this for a GD Fit, I believe I have found the part: My Honda Parts Store - Genuine Honda Parts at Wholesale Prices

It's from the 2004 Civic Hybrid. Looks identical in the drawings and they should be plug and play considering the circuitry is internal to the switch, unlike in the GE. Someone please go ahead and try this so I know it works. Maybe one day I would go through with it.

What's the Part# for this? Going to be placing an order soon for other stuff. It's just plug and play right?
