Installed: Variable Intermittent Wipers 2009 USDM Fit Sport MT Non-Navi
thanks I found them. I have an automatic but I'm not giving up> I went ahead and installed the new stalk. Hopefully we can find a way to make the variable wipers work on the auto model.
Not sure if this matters but has anyone with a non-sport AT Fit checked to see if they have the required pin? I can check mine but I'm not 100% sure I understand what I'm looking for...
For what I see only sport AT owners have checked and CCH checked AT sport vs MT sport fuse box differences.... just putting it out there?
Also, I did this mod on my 04 Civic LX Coupe a could years back and I add had to do was swap the EX stalk in, that was it... no extra wires or anything.... they cant all be that easy I guess...

Just finished this mod
That little wire on the Q-Connector is a real pain to get on there. There is barley enough room for one hand. Just when I thought it couldn't be done and was ready to give up the pin slipped in...only to discover I shoved it in backwards. It was a little easier the second time around though.
One word of caution: I used the pins from honda described early on int he thread. They work fine for the wiper switch side but the back end of the pins is a little wide and it ended up making contact with he pin next to it (#7 and #8). This cause the rear wiper to turn on and of randomly. If you notice this, the pins touching is most likely the problem.
Anyway, im all done now and love the mod

Hi. I have an 09 MT Fit. I'd like to do this mod. I read thru all the info, but it started to get confusing as to the pins and parts needed. Could someone who is knowledgable about this modification please post the parts needed, by part number, etc. For instance the pins needed for what connectors, the quantities, etc. Thanks for the help.

you have to get the pins from the junk yard.
you have to do the same for the radio controls if you
want those as well.
i don't think so. but don't hold me to it.
I removed my rear wiper, so I was thinking about installing the civic stalk to do this instead of the crv stalk. Anyone know if it'll plug in too? Obviously I'll still have to run the wire, but has anyone had a chance to compare the plug itself? Any help would be awesome.
Shoving the wire in the hole does not work! So I have a harness on order, and anticipate having a bunch of extra pins for the Q connector. I already have 9 or so extra pins that fit the stalk. Between setting up the wires for my amp and trying to get this wiper thing to work, I've spent more time under my dash than should be allowed.
The harness only had 2 plugs the right size, and one I crushed getting them out. I'm going to run to the honda dealer in the next few weeks and see if they have a match. I am able to confirm that this mod works on a 2010 sport 5mt.
Thank you so much to Mscott! I would have never been able to figure this out.

I'd like to do this mod to my '11 Fit Sport 5MT. But after reading the entire thread, it seems like the only sure way is to rummage the junkyard for the pin connectors.
What year CRV, Insights would be possibly have these so that there are more options to search?
