Niko,
It looks like you could do a thriving business in (1) obtaining the wires, (2) putting them together as a set to work with the new variable intermittent wiper stalk and (3) selling them to anxious DIYers like us (because I would buy a set in a heartbeat and it seems there are others who would too). Would you be willing to do that? If yes, where do we sign up? If not, could you tell the rest of us (a) what wire set you obtained, (b) where and (c) how you made it work so the rest of us can replicate your success? Thanks a lot!

Anyone with a micrometer been able to measure the Q fitting?

Maybe Bernardi or College Hills Honda can be encouraged to add the wire to the Wiper Stalk part for the FIT (like College Hills Honda did for the Accord Horn upgrade for the FIT).

I've got my stalk. Just need the connecting wire.

Niko:

Got my wire today, thanks! We need to know which pin corresponds to which connector (Wiper, or Q connector). Any easy way to tell before I start this mod?

justintime, Thank you very much.
By looking on your last picture, (I'm just guessing)... the Stalk pin is the one on the left and the Q the one on the right, since people said that the Q is smaller.

As you can see, I'm on the other hemisphere of the world, but trying to do the same.

I Already got a FIT GE6 and this:

The 04320-SAA-A00, fit's perfectly on the stalk.

And here the connector itself

I'm just not sure if i have the right stuff.

on this image the pin on top is the Q and the bottom
pin is the wiper.
another way. the wiper pin is bigger and the Q is smaller.

Here are some micrometer measurements as best as I could make them given that the wire is attached - these are all outside dimensions:

Q- terminal:
Side view: overall length including crimp tabs 0.635", length of barrel 0.283"
End on view: height of barrel 0.079", width of barrel 0.066.

Wiper terminal (I have the 04320-SAA-A00 It looks slightly different from the one in justintime's photos - it has a shorter barrel)
Side view: overall length including crimp tabs 0.697", length of barrel 0.255"
End on view: height of barrel 0.088", width of barrel 0.081.

pbuck, Now we need a micrometer to check too.

So can we use the 04320-SAA-A00 for the wiper connector?

Niko, thanks for the info. I think I have a last question:

To insert the pin on the Q connector, is it necessary to 'dislodge' the connector tab first? Or can you insert it right through from the back without un-securing the connector tab first?

You know what worries me sick? Dislodging the tab and then find that I have released all the other pins by mistake!!!!

No guarantee of anything in my opinion... for example, BOTH pins that I have fit the wiper male pin. But only one is the correct part that will fit and snap securely onto the connector itself!

justintime, Hmm... I see.
So Just one will lock on the connector. I'll try with 04320-SAA-A00.
About the Q one, i think it's not possible to use the same part, right?

I would like to suggest to anyone doing this mod: The FIRST thing you want to do is disconnect the positive terminal of the battery. This will help prevent any shorts while you're fiddling around with the pins etc. Make sure you have your Radio Code handy!!!!

I once shorted my entire cluster, and lost speedometer, lighting, etc. NOT FUN.

Is there a technique to this? In the photo below mscott already has this done.

Thanks,
Paul
