What did you do to your GE fit today?
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...ower-loss.html
That's my thread detailing my experience. I really wanted the problem to be somewhere else because I really liked the TC even if it was just for show. All it does is make the pedal more sensitive. Not worth my family's safety.
But I did say in my post that probably hundreds of drivers have been happy for years using theirs.
I did read on more than one occasion of a vendor having to return the TC's to the supplier for repairs. They were older models. I took a chance because it was the newest version. I was hoping all the bugs were out of it. One guy even returned two of them back to back until he got one that worked....I mean really? Where's the responsibility in that?...head shake.
In the end I didn't miss it. Turns out your brain adjusts to the new sensitivity and you end up pressing less on the gas in the sport mode. In the econo mode I ended up mashing on the gas more. See what I mean? You adjust to your normal way of driving after time no matter how sensitive or not the pedal is.

^ You keep saying the controller is "purely cosmetic" and "just for show," but then you say it makes the pedal more "sensitive." So is it just cosmetic or does it actually do something? I think having a more sensitive pedal and more responsive throttle is pretty much what you want w/ a throttle controller, yeah?

The take away point of that post was that in the end your brain adjusts to the new sensitivity and you end up driving the same way after a while.
That was my experience with it.
Edit: You guys really get hung up on the smallest details. I just reread the post and that was not the salient point at all!

I thought it was until it got to where I had a hard time not spinning the wheels, smoking the tires and burning too much fuel when the boost and VTEC transition occurs.... I had to start using the ECO modes except when on freeways in Dallas where I needed the quick response in order to maneuver into exit lanes...

Hey,hey,hey...
I had a local mechanic install the Swift springs and the Progress anti
sway bar this morning.
I immediately took a twisty road down to the (Ky) river and back
via another twisty road, about 22 miles.
The rock and roll of the 2012 Fit Sport A/T was *greatly* reduced. I
felt much more in control zipping into, around and out of corners.
(Of course it might have been lack of common sense on my part
I approve of this upgrade...

And here I was thinking he had a bra on it.
I love how that Fit sits though! How much (if you don't mind sharing) for the springs and sway bar? My 12 Sport needs some upgrades there...

The bumper is fine...The difference is due to lighting and the iPhone camera.
The advertised price for the Swift springs is $276.00 at Evasive Motorsports and
that included shipping.
I ordered the sway bar from Progress itself for $156.00 which did not include
shipping ( your milage may vary on the shipping ).

I've got a local coilover company in my area that all the local car guys love, but I'm not ready to plunk down $1300 for coilovers.
'firmer' and more 'controlled' from my viewpoint.
My Fit is still very 'drivable'.
I suspect that after a week or so the old floaty feeling will be
completely faded from my memory.

Today I replaced my stock 185/55-16 Bridgestones with 205/50-16 Kumho Ecsta 4X. I was originally planning on the Continental DWS, but the Kumho's got rated just as good and were $16 less per tire. In addition, Kumho is giving a $50 rebate on a set of 4 until the end of August.
I'm not sure which suspension upgrades are on my stock Sport model, but I thought the suspension would've been a little bit better. It's still got some "roll" to it going through turns quick. Definitely will check into both your mods, thanks again!
I know what you mean. Sounds perfect.
