Finally got everything back together (not like it was down long, but 2 days w/o driving the fit is weird for me).

installed the steering wheel emblems from grfx, cf wrapped the trim to match my dash, and re-threaded the leather with red stitch to set it all off.

Also swapped back to the USDM cluster at the gf's request.

Had the dealer install the OEM center arm rest/console this afternoon. Much more comfortable than the puny arm rest that comes with the sport.

The UPS man did not arrive until 7pm with the cargo tray and cargo cover from
Collegehills Honda.

I 'installed' the cargo tray right away, tomorrow the cargo tray goes in.

That steering wheel is really well done. How was the stitching process? Looks difficult.

Took a bit of time. Taking the black thread out took longer than restitching because you don't wanna tear the leather at all. You have to use two upholstery needles to make it look the same way as it did.

Btw, if anyone is wondering. A civic steering wheel fits our car, but the airbag is a different size, cause I have an extra civic wheel that I was gonna install on the fit (smaller and more ergonomic) but no airbag and I don't know if the connector is the same.

Put the Progress rear sway bar on a little while ago. Ridiculously easy mod. All the tools you need are in the last picture.

Balancing the bar on the jack worked perfectly. No need for two people at all.

No need to remove the springs either (or wheels, like the instructions say) if you don't mind your springs getting a little scuffed up by an allen wrench.

Work was slow, so I tried to see if I could somehow mod the Z1 shift box to work. Seemed like a bigger pain in the ass then just trying to fab the hybrid racing shift box. I prefer metal over plastic anyways. Might just order one tomorrow night if I give up again later today on the Z1. I wonder if I can get away with reusing the cables?

I just ordered the Tanabe Medalion Touring axle back exhaust T70143A. $401 from Amazon with free Prime shipping. I did splurge and pay the extra $3.95 for 1 day shipping. Should have it installed by Saturday.

Post your thoughts once you get it on. I'm interested in getting one.

Best axle back for the GE in my opinion.

made a shift boot!

took the old boot off and took it apart and traced it onto leather material, then sewed it up. Decided i only wanted one stitch line instead of 4 (the stitch line is away from the driver) cost me about 15 bucks in material (leather)

That's encouraging to hear. I hope I like it too. I choose this one after going through all the other threads and sound clips. Can't wait to see it and try it out in person.

Hayden, quick questions - you had a Sport before looks like, does that mean that the new sway bar is an additional bar? With presumably the same effect as swapping a stock bar on any other car with a thicker aftermarket one?

The rigidity of the "sway bar" in the sport is built into the twisting metal of the whole rear beam/assembly of the Sport. It's as if they just cast the whole trailing member out of thicker steel than the base, making it harder to twist. There is no actual roll bar like the Progress one, but it effectively does the same thing. Hope that makes sense.

When people imagine these, they are usually thinking of independent rear suspension, with bushings, end links and a bar that looks like the Progress one, but even still, the designs are different. There are no bushings, or central fulcrum points to it. The resistance in it's wanting to twist comes from the two 90 degree bends, their length, and the overall thickness of the bar.

The car's handling is truly neutral now. Probably nothing like what a automaker would sell from the factory, sans maybe the integra type-r, which was definitely more tail happy than the swifted/progressed Fit. I've spun out in one of those pretty easy.

Looks great man^

Saw illest_GE8 on the highway today just after rush hour. Good seeing you dude! I knew his GE looked good in pics, but DAMN it's clean and wayyyyyyyyy low.

Unfortunately, my whip was looking sad. Did a 1,700 mile road trip this weekend so I had my stockers on and an assload of bug debris.
