HIDs in just your stock reflector housings... feel sorry for the people driving towards you at night

and yes, the fogs only come on when the headlights are in full ON position. removing the drl fuse is just going to get rid of your drl...

Now, you could pair the Bilstein dampers with Swith/Eibach/etc springs later on, if you wanted custom spring rates as opposed to the progressive springs that come paired with the Bilstein dampers. Stiff Swift springs on stock dampers sounds like a terrible ride, but I could be wrong.

 

I feel ya, I took a drive around Little Italy and SOMA on Sat and my avg readout dropped like a rock from ~38 to ~34, which is big considering I did about 200 miles at 38 already and only probably 10 miles of city driving

 

Debadging her, putting company banner on windsheild, took off all other stickers, and getting my red lugs installed

 

Eyelids installed. Going to give her a good wash on Thursday.
And before anyone says it, yes I did clean the areas before applying.

Swift makes two types of springs.

one set to replace OE springs and another far stiffer race springs.

The OE replacement springs from Swift are pretty good on stock dampeners... there's a saying...

Don't knock it, till you try it.

 

Swift replacement springs for the GE8 are only 2.3K F and 2.1K R (soft!), couple that with a modest drop of 1" and I think the Swift springs are the best springs on the market to match with OEM struts.

just finished installing HKS hipermas s-style x coilover. total time 2hrs... on a lift with an extra set of hand

check out the ridiculous baby springs I think they were just 6" tall. has to use zip ties to keep them in place. zip ties off after install.

test touchdown... can still go down about 2 inches but I'll keep them this height until spring settles


next up... alignment. it's way off and the front toes are ridiculously pointing inward... I can feel them dragging when driving. also, the natural camber made my front so sunk

 

If the toe is that bad, get under there real quick and adjust it out a bit, very easy to do to save your tires from screaming, "WTPh are you doing to me?" :P

 

they're pretty bad... I never drove so slow in my life LOL. I'll be finalizing the height and off to an alignment she goes.

 

Good deal, it doesn't take much driving if the toe is as bad as you say to scrub the insides to nothing.

 

and the ride was not even close to harsh... tight but not harsh is what she said... no nose dives

 

I chewed through atleast 50% of my tires when I drove with the toe super off

My bad, I was making an assumption based on what I know about their stiff springs.

 

Eh, I'm use to just having my fog lights on the accsesory setting on my 91' hub. Hey it's my first new car.
Yeah again I'm a noob to anything beyond ODB0/1 Honda cars. Lol

 

You need to have retrofitted headlights w/ a projector in them to properly run HIDs. W/ the current reflector housings that super bright 6K light reflects out of your headlights in a million different directions. With projectors the light beam is very focused, so it points where you need to see but doesn't blind people unless they are literally coming straight at you, even still the beam is pointing downwards so unless they're riding a big wheel they still won't be blinded.

Retrofits are expensive FYI. And if you're still unsure what I'm talking about then google image search Projector Headlights. You'll recognize them. Many many new (and usually nicer) cars have them. If you don't want to pay for a retrofit or buy aftermarket projector headlights for the fit, then I would just recommend selling your HID kit and using the stock bulbs.

 

Mine was a Bridgestone 175 in 1966.
