A little while back I got new brakes... and I just got all new tires... Bridgestone Ecopia's... low rolling resistance tires...

both from Tires Plus (brakes and tires).. good prices and no attempt at gouging you with extra fees.. I personally highly recommend them.

The ecopia's have already improved my gas mileage.

Gave the Fit a wash today. Its hovering at about -30 today so it also got to sit inside the shop today and dry off.

Gave the Fit a MUCH needed wash! I skipped on the wax today as I was running out of daylight.

Relocated the license plate and added my reindeer mod. Snapped some shots and had a little fun experimenting with an image editor for pretty much the first time.

EDIT: Yes, I know of the controversy currently surrounding Psy. I'm debating whether to leave the decal up or take it off to ward anyone key raging my car.

Getting into gear w/ the short shifter was a little stiffer than the stock shifter, and I didn't mind that, but w/ this extender it goes into gear like butter because of the extra leverage. Went w/ a bent one because I thought w/ a straight extender the knob would be too close to the dash & hvac controls in 1st and maybe 3rd gear. Think it will work even nicer w/ a ball shift knob. Probly be picking up a Moddiction Anvil knob soon.
I like it. I may do the straight one with the Mugen short shifter.

How close is your knob to the dash in third gear?

There's plenty of room. A straight extender might still work, I don't know. The Skunk2 knob is pretty small in diameter too so that helps. A larger 2" round knob might not work so well w/ a straight extender, but it should be fine with this bent one. Don't know if Garage Defend has any more to sell tho, I may have bought the last 10x1.5 one they had on ebay.

3rd gear

I found a 2" straight extender that I ordered. I think it'll be perfect with the Mugen knob and shifter.

A 2" extender should be a nice addition to driving. I though the Mugen SS assembly was just a shorter length shift rod, with slightly harder mounts and a firmer return spring, rather than a modified pivot point, or extender. Extending it upwards is essentially negating the benefit on that one, and returning it to stock-like throw distances, but I may be wrong. Regardless, the lower mounting point at the top of the boot looks way better than the long, odd stock shifter height.

Ordered some more odds and ends for the interior. Door sils, oem carbon bits, new shift knob and probably new shift boot if I can get it designed and decided on before too long. Once I'm done in there, I'll work on performance and exterior mods, like that cusco hook, and some JDP stuff. Then its time to save for coilovers, or a turbo setup, and buy a second car for under 5 grand (probably truck) as a beater.

That's too bad to hear. I hope someone here has had experience with the Mugen and a shift extender. I want the arm taller but the shifts closer together.

I wonder what the stock throw is if the SS+E is 2" from neutral.
