What did you do to your GE fit today?
Pics please!
Wanderer thanks for the infirmation you provided it is very helpfull and now i know.quite frankly im tired of talking about it, not your fault by any means. Im just going to stop posting pictures so that way no one says anything. If i can help someone else then i will comment but other than that im not gonna be posting anymore. Thanks to those who had good info to give.
Just another way to look at it half full/half empty. 2014 trying to be more zen this year

Glad I could be educational with the codes.
Can't really tell the thickness from that pic but it looks good to me. I will probably go to Lowes and see what I can find over the weekend
Thanks for posting a pic
TW FTW!
I would love to get the JDP but can't because my area is not low-aero friendly
I hope to stop commuting far for work soon and maybe I can try to either get the JDP or an STi lip

I will most likely just replace the EZ-lip I have now that my current one is a tad frayed
Wow, some people are pretentious pricks. For the past few pages I keep on seeing Koch getting ignored when he clearly says he angled the lights down, and he's aware of the effect on other drivers. Giving him crap for it and saying things like "I expected the Fit community to be smarter" isn't really helping.
Look at the rest of the car, it looks amazing. Good job Koch, it looks great.
______
Take his word for it and move on. It doesn't look that bright at all judging by the images. I'm not a big fan of the way he did it either, but I'm not giving nobody crap about their build.

Yes you're right, the rest of his car does look good. good work Koch. This forum is usually nice, and don't feel afraid to post here. It's just the whole hid in reflector thing just really bugs a lot of us, but glad to know you've listened to us and will correct that mistake. All the best.
For the record, I think we moved on half a page ago

yep fit mugen shuttle. got it from rakuten.co.jp.
Gonna wait until Friday to post pics. Too much rain to get a good shot. That, and I have a Fit badge to shave, too. Once that's done, that'll be about the extent of the exterior mods I want to do. Just wheels (lug nuts for my R81s should ship on Thursday from Jegs to my friend in TX) and red badges after that. Then I can focus on the fun stuff: Suspension and power.
Speaking of, does the Cusco rear strut bar fit US/Canadian Fits? Its something I want to do, but if I have to go another route I will. Living in a city full of fabricators and welders has its advantages.

Just got this in for my 2010, the shifter cover from the 2012-2013
Piggybank is half full now too
Cusco does Fit GE8's, here is a DIY

Just FYI, you're not going to notice any real improvements by just putting in a rear strut bar. It's really just going to be a thing that you know is there, which is fun so by all means do it. Chassis bracing is a sum of all of its parts...gotta go whole hog with that stuff to REALLY improve handling/stability.
just wanted to show my JDP front lip, rear diffuser, and wing in the daylight. the hood is on the way i just ordered it through john and got a nice discount since i ordered so much already. crappy phone pictures sorry.

I recommend having one of said fabricators build a triangle brace that bolts to the "trunk floor" and shock towers rather than one that just connects the towers over getting a simple 2 point bar.
Triangle is always the answer.

With that being said I'm still going to get the Cusco front strut bar to finish off my engine bay #becausewannaberacecar

Hopefully you can bring it to our next meet and I can take some high-res shots for you
Looks good Koch!
Does the wing hit the stock antenna when you open the hatch? You should consider a shorty or shark fin
Hey waiz does it look like the gear indicator on the shifter cover is removable? I wouldn't mind having one of those but I don't have paddle shifters and therefore don't have S mode on mine

If I do go the custom route, I want to be able to remove the whole thing while leaving the mounting hardware in case I need the hatch space. I know a couple guys that I could work on a design with, but the Cusco brace is probably going to be easier. Triangulated braces are insanely rigid, but realistically, not practical for a DD. I use the hatch space on a regular basis.
Just buy the part # for the Canadian 2012+ sport.... problem solved lol

I would assume that the overall size of the cover doesn't change if the model changes but I'm not 100%
If you could measure a friends shifter cover who has a sport to be sure you can order it and install it yourself
Sweet, thanks! Nice shifter plate. The silver always looked out of place to me.
The rear strut bar is also going to be coupled with a rear sway bar, then maybe a couple other pieces. The goal is to keep the stock ride height, but improve handling as much as possible. Hatchbacks tend to be a little weaker in the rear compared to sedans and coupes that have a little more structure there.

Totally agree with you about the silver, mine is scratched from the previous owner and thought it looked out of place with my black Clazzios anyway
