Wow, I didn't expect that type of feedback. Apparently Honda did not ideally place the shifter. I thought it was just me. I will keep everyone updated with relocating the shifter.

It wasn't until I saw this and drove the car for a couple more days that I realized how far I was reaching. I'm in for one as well.

It's pretty bad. The issue with my design is that you can not reinstall the center console. I don't have my console installed so it's not an issue.

But I would like to find a solution that would accept the console without increasing throw.

Figured this would be an issue. When I was trying to get the h-fit extender onto the revo I had to use spacers. The spacers didn't even add up to an inch and the center console almost didn't fit and my cup holders would come loose on hard shifts lol. Don't know if I'm ready to give up my cup holders since I still daily the car. But I am definitely willing to give this a try.

Oh damn, definitely need my center console. Maybe I'll try a WC Lathewerks shifter extender to bring the height of the knob up.

But certainly going to continue to follow your progress.

Now I'm also thinking you might have problems with the shifter cables reaching the final assembly position? Not sure how much slack there is to work with.

You're correct. There is a bracket that needs to be modified to gain the "slack" to relocate the entire assemble; it's the least of my concerns.

Only if paired with a full short shifter assembly that you've had to raise to clear the bottom part. Others have just taken a hammer to the portion of the body that prevents the shifter from going into 1st/3rd/5th. Hope that makes sense

Very nice!! Wish manual was an option on our tiny island nation... The weight savings alone would be well worth it.

8 inch wheel

Hey whats your opinion on 8 inch wheels on a Ge. would it hurt the cars acceleration? I'm running rpf1 16x8 +38 with some 225/45... Would it make the car slower on accelerating?
