Talking Lighten OEM Fly Wheel and Spec Four Puck Clutch

I finally got my lighten flywheel back from the engine builder.

Before; OEM 14 lbs 13 oz, the red is the material that was removed:

After; Lighten 12 lbs 2 oz:

Spec Clutch claimed the 13 grams out of balance was with in their standards. So the engine builder had to weld two weights to the clutch plate and drill three extra holes into the flywheel to bring it into balance.

Lighten back of fly.
Green arrow: To balance flywheel only
Red arrow: To balance the Spec Clutch Plate

Three holes to balance clutch plate:

Small weight to balance clutch plate:

Large weight to balance clutch plate:

Thank you, but I don't think like that. I just like seeing Fits that are used and useful modifications being done to them. I'm looking forward to more developments you can either come up with or have someone fabricate for you. Hopefully that computer aero simulation will bring about new and improved products. Our floors are pretty flat, but it would be nice for an add-on piece(s) that flow right into a proper rear diffuser. It could be beneficial for not just those beating on their cars, but those looking for more FE.

Please do report on the flywheel and if it by chance triggers any CEL once you install it and beat on it proper. Hopefully with it being fully balanced and not much weight shaved the ECU receives no trigger signals.

This is the total weight of the Lighten FW, 4 Puck Clutch and Clutch Plate. I am excited for the warm weather in order to do the install and track it.

Total assembly=22lbs 6.6oz

Note: the weight savings is in the FlyWheel and Pucked Clutch only. SPEC Clutch's manager told me that they use an OEM Pressure Plate and swap out the plate spring to increase clamping force; therefor there is no weight savings in the pressure plate.

I just read Posts 161-168 for the first time.

I don't know what the heck you think you're doing, but whatever it is, I love it, and I'm going to try to read this entire thread when I have a sec.

Haha. Thanks. I get bored easily. You should also take a look at at 555sexydrive's thread too; his FIT is more impressive.

Hi De6,

I need your help,
Could you please take more pictures of the Beatrush (2 point/Front) Lower Arm Brace, from several angle,
especially right from below,
so I can measure/predict the gap it had between the brace and the lower subframe,
that way I can also predict whether this Beatrush brace can fit my car which have automatic transmission?

The problem with Cusco brace was it hit the lower rubber engine mounting on AT car... and looks like your Beatrush might have better clearance than the Cusco...

if it had better clearance, I am thinking of buying the Beatrush one.
Again, I am talking about the Beatrush Front Lower Arm bar not the Rear one which you also have installed in your car.

Thank You so much.

Honda Fit Shifter Relocator

So I hate where my shifter is. I will be 3D printing these shifter relocators I designed. Moving it to a nice comfy place. 2.5" Back & 3" Up.

I was just thinking about asking my friend to help me make one of these, I'll take one if you sell them
