200,000 miles, one oil change per year or 25k miles with Amsoil

I hit the 200k miles last week with a 2009 Honda fit using Amsoil with oil change every year or after 25,000 miles.

Besides oil, I have replaced the shocks, and the AC once (I live in South Florida). I have upgraded the battery size as I am using a larger battery (3 years now with the larger battery).

I also have replaced the brake pads once and of course the tires.

Great little car that I use also for towing. I still have good compression and do not burn oil much (still a quart per year) and mileage (calculated) is the same.

I hope to drive it another 100k miles and my next car will be another Honda.

High milage

2012 Base 94k, runs like a clock, ALL services done while you’re in there ( valves adjusted, clean throttle body ,new coil pacs and plugs, and intake, valve cover, tb gaskets , transmission filter and hoses,) Radiator replaced so ALL cooling hoses, and belt , fluids changed with Honda, new fluid ,front pads and rotors, rear shoes, [AC switch replaced, cheaper than buying bulbs.]
it sounds like a lot but a lot of the items were done because you’re there anyway you might as well do them, The parts are pretty cheap especially if you plan ahead and keep an eye on parts prices on Amazon,

Very low mileage with only 33,480 miles in 6yrs from 2013 and I am the only owner and still has original everything except normal oil changes! And different radio with Navigation Clarion NX602 I put in it when I bought it because it was cheaper to buy aftermarket than to buy it with it! Hard to believe I've had it for 6yrs!

2010 Honda Fit miles

Bought my wife a 2010 Honda Fit brand new back in 2010. Today, driving it for the first time in a few months since my wife seems to have given up driving for no explainable reason, it just turned 7,300 miles. There isn't even any rust on the exhaust system yet since it just mostly sits in the garage.

It's showing the TPMS light on the dash, even though all the tires are at exactly the same recommended pressure.

I think it's probably the battery in one of the sensors dying. I checked around a few places trying to get a price for replacing all four. I was quoted prices from $450 up to almost $1,200! That is insane!

The TPMS sensors seem to be the new version of the $350 price for a new key that the dealer wants since it was explained to me that the key has in it..., (Gasp!!!!)…, A COMPUTER CHIP!!!! (Probably a 50 cent Eprom!)

If I was a few years younger, (and wasn't fighting a case of a rare form of cancer and arthritis that has set in), I'd replace them myself. But..., most places want around $75 for each sensor! I look on line and can find prices all over the place, including ones that claim to be brand new, Honda sensors for about $25-$30 each. Not sure how much I can trust what I find in some of the ads.

What's with this crazy price for these really quite simple devices! Even if I did manage to install them, do I have to go back to the dealer to have them 'programmed'?

My 2010 Fit just went through the same thing.
I stopped at my local WalMart and they used their scanning tool to show that two tire sensors had dead batteries.
They replaced both sensors and rotated my tires...all for $81.00
The other two tire sensors will prob go in the next couple years, but I don't know how much longer I'll have the car. It has 210,000 miles on it!

Most Walmart's around here seem to have gotten rid of their auto repair garage. The Sam's Club next door to the closest Walmart had a garage, but they closed most of the Sam's Clubs here a few years ago.

I'll have to see if there is another Walmart nearby.

Thanks!

Even lower mileage, just turned 20,415; replaced anti-freeze, still on OEM Dunlops (although they are cracking, dry rot, I suppose!), replaced OEM battery w/ another OEM one, oil changes @ 10-15% w/ full synthetic. Bought new, April 2012. VBP, 5MT

I bought an 09 Fit Sport Auto from my Brother-in-law/Sister-in-law with 186,500 miles (they bought it new). The water pump failed and they went and bought a HRV. It needs the valve lash set as it stalls if you drive before it warms up and it is anemic, and I found a low mileage intake manifold to make sure the EGR ports aren't clogged. Then I will be doing a suspension lift with 2010 Insight springs, which have a higher spring rate and will make the Fit handle better and carry weight better. I'm finding the stock springs very weak when putting 200lbs in the back hatch, like tools and stuff.

51,000km on my 2009 fit!
Was bored and removed the egr to clean and you could almost eat off it.

Suggestions on better tire sizes and rims that fit the fit?
