Gotcha. I loaded up my fit to the brim when I moved from Texas to California (well, it was supposed to be Vancouver, Bc, but got stuck in CA due to COVID border closures). There was a good amount of sag.

A bit hard to see in these images, but there was a good amount of sag =(

I believe it.

Mine has always had a slight sag in the rear. I also carry a fair amount of stuff (small aluminum HF jack, tools, and the store basket full of fluids and supplies as seen in the photo) which adds some weight plus the rear struts are original.

wow. 525k+ and still on original rear struts is impressive. I think mine are still original, but then again I only have 65k miles (including my move to California). I know the previous owner replaced two shocks, I think they are in the front... I need to check the service records to confirm.

Those wheels fit really well to a white Fit! (pun intended)

Mileage is somewhere around 545,500. Installed new front lower control arms with a buddy, nothing too exciting. Also new front tires because mine wore through from the bad arms.

Ball joint on one was making noise and a bad bushing was causing a vibration at 60 mph. Other side had a torn boot that was doomed for similar failure.

Are those the original arms or your second or so set? Maybe I've missed a post somewhere for what's been replaced and what hasn't

The body on this is so clean! Do they not use salt where you live? Cars start rusting in about a year up here... damn.

I really like the civic wheels, I’ve got to keep an eye out for a set to use as winter rims. Looking forward to your updates!

Salt is used where we live! It just doesn't snow as much as Canada, however New Jersey (where the Fit spent most of its life) uses ALOT of salt when it does snow. If you peep the side profile, you can actually see a hole in the rocker.

They're actually Fit LX (Canada only) wheels! We don't have these stateside. The only thing similar that we have are the 8th-gen Civic Hybrid wheels, and they are 5x114.3.

@julianachos Did you ever have to replace your strut top mounts? Mine is starting to creak like an old wooden ship if I turn lock to lock -- most noticeable when I'm really turning in a tight circle at slow speeds.

The previous owner installed the second set of front struts from ~300k+ miles ago, assuming the tops have been changed out too.

It used to make a noise in situations you've mentioned and after changing the LCAs, there is no noise. Then again, both ball joint boots were torn and the Fit has seen plenty of abuse. It was on the original arms.

Not much to update besides two things:

550k miles!

Also gave my brakes a much-needed upgrade. A friend of mine had put RL calipers on his Prelude, so he gave me his old calipers, with almost new EBC Redstuff pads. I decided to put them to good use. I followed De36's big brake kit DIY using the specified 280mm Mini Cooper rotors and added SS brake lines I got from GolNat a while back. Since I have 15" wheels, I ran a 5mm spacer to clear the bracket.

Wow that's a tight clearance. Wonder why there's that much of a clearance issue with those wheels. I run 15 inch wheels and 280mm rotors and I've got almost an inch of clearance between the caliper and wheel, Konig Heliums for reference.

You just said it right there: I'm running factory wheels whereas you're running aftermarket wheels.

These wheels are not only flat-faced on the outside, but they are pretty flat on the inside too. Will test fit steel wheels tomorrow.

Just dawned on me Red. Are you talking about the inside of the barrel? Factory wheels tend to not be forgiving with space. US-spec ITRs with factory 15" wheels have similar fitment, but they are design for the car with those brakes unlike these wheels.

Mr. Coffee, you doing alright out there? Not sure where in Cali you are.
