That's unfortunate. I thought about converting to a '12-13 interior, but started collecting pieces off the '09-11 Sport interior. Besides, I would have better luck sourcing that easily. My turn signal stalk feels fine, however the markings are faded way more than what I'd normally see in other Fits.

Did another road trip. 800-ish miles on this one. Went from Pottstown, PA to Wadsworth, OH to drop off a friend of mine. Left pretty late (9:30pm) and arrived around 4am.

Side note: Holy shit imgbb is so much better than imgur.

Curious to know what grade engine oil you run with those high miles? I am running 10W 40 Full synthetic (Nulon) in ours (300+km) and it uses absolutely no oil.

Cheers,

Cheers,
I use Shell Rotella T6 5W-40, which is synthetic. It burns maybe a quart at most within the 10k mile (16k kilometer) interval.

Not too much to update on. Odometer is in the 528k mile mark.

Got new tires-

Also decided to restore the windshield cowl. Its been bugging me lately and since I had a piece missing, I bought it new and could not just throw it on the car with the faded pieces.

Old and new comparison:

Much better:

Night and day difference:

Finally on:

Used Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer and 303 protectant.

Replacing a lower control arm whenever my bolts come in the mail.

I just bought a bottle of that last night!! Haven't used it yet it but it really cleaned your cowl nicely, looks great

I like the 303 idea and I already have some of that.

I'm in the same situation. I had that corner piece of the cowl fly off, so I bought a new replacement part. It's around here somewhere. Hadn't thought about making everything look so spiffy, but now I guess you have shamed me into doing the work.

Also need some new tires.

Julian, if you lived in SoCal, we could work on these things together. (By "work together," I mean you do the work and I buy the beer. )

Thanks man, do it up! I figured the 303 would give it that extra layer of protection. Plan B is to just paint it.

Was gifted a Sprint Booster v3 throttle controller from a friend. I was skeptical of these until I tried one myself.

Now the Fit feels like a race car! /s

Need to see how it does on road trips with the setting all the way down while cruising on the highway so I don't have to keep my foot in place for hours from the lack of cruise control.

I have a different throttle controller which I set more to the econo mode to prevent the jack rabbit starts.

To relieve the pain in leg from trying to keep from depressing the gas pedal all the time. Add a spring

I guess I just realized you put of 500k on a car with no cruise control?!

It feels different for sure. I noticed gear changes were smoother for me. As for the spring, I plan on doing that in the near future.

I didn't. I did nearly 140k of that with no cruise control. Rest was the previous owner.

Went to Florida for the holidays.

Did Floridian things, even an oil change while I was down there. Funny thing was the two other oil changes were done in Toronto. Does that make me a snowbird?

Visited a Miata shop and picked up a dent and rust free trunk for my Miata.

Ended the trip with some mild concern- its thrown random P0171 codes.

This has happened once while traveling from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland via a 7 hour ferry ride. The temperature drastically changed and probably elevation too. That's not surprising there, albeit a weird if I had to admit if that was really the cause of said code. When it happened, I disconnected the battery while getting breakfast and connected it when I came to the car to reset everything. Never came back up.

My Fit is sporting a CR-Z air box with a K&N filter. Aside from that one time, it's never thrown this code before. My only suspicion is whenever I've engaged the throttle controller and went full throttle on the on ramps is what's causing this. I haven't had much time to diagnose it and do some digging, but after the weekend I will. In the meantime, I don't mind driving the Miata around considering I've spent plenty of time in the Fit.

My 10 Fit also has a short intake with K&N filter. Also have been using the Sprint throttle controller for about a month now.
Has not thrown any codes...yet.
Without looking it up...what's the P0171 code indicate?
I really like the controller..hope that it's not the cause of the code.

P0171 is a "system too lean" code. Hope I can just clean the MAF and call it good if the throttle controller isn't the cause. Don't feel like going through a full diagnosis with it lol.

That was the plan. Like I mentioned, I’m almost certain that’s it

P0171 update: Hasn't popped up an entire tank's worth of mileage without using the throttle controller. Used it during a second tank, and it didn't pop up. I'm just going to blame the constant temperature changes the Fit has seen in two weeks. Even Delaware has seen a range of 30-70°F within the past seven days. On the third tank it did, but the temps were all over the place within those 24 hours. If it does pop up again and stays on, I'm gonna start with cleaning the MAF and start diagnosis from there.

A while back, I removed my beyond fubar'd fog lights until I got replacements, which are generic ones that supposedly specific to the base model Fit. The fitment determined that was a lie...

For starters, it was too wide and would not fit on the OEM brackets. Some trimming on both sides of the housing was involved...

With the OEM Stanley lights, there is no gap between the trim and light unlike this light...

Whatever though, they are on. Wrapped the lenses with clear Lamin-X and used Hella yellow bulbs.

Honda Canada also posted the Fit on their Facebook today.

Also, current odometer photo:
