2015 Dealer Price...and What You Paid
Heck, that's the best $2000 car around! Congrats on winning.
I'm shopping around, I have a White LX Manual on hold (whenever their next shipment comes in) for
Vehicle: $16325.00
Title and New Plates: $556.00
Tax: $1035.77
TOTAL: $17,917.27
They were going to try to get me one at another dealer but it sold while I was still thinking it over (took me a 3 days to decide on the Fit).
Just called another dealer a few hours away that have the exact car I want but charge a $699.00 dealer fee so the total would be $18693. I think I'm just better off waiting a few weeks with my current dealer. They were reaching out to their regional rep to find out when they will have it exactly.

I wonder how much of that price you got was actually because of the extended warranty you bought? I've heard the same thing being done with dealer financing (my Dad was a master of that switcheroo) so I suppose that the kickback from the extended warranty would add a bit to the dealer's bottom line.
Anyway, good show on cancelling the warranty. I tend to avoid such "bundle" deals because once they are started they often are virtually impossible to turn off. The cost savings I get are not worth the hassle of convincing some "handler" that I really don't want to continue the service.

Help!
Noob here.. I am interested in one. Haven't bought a car in almost 20 years. Last I bought was a Saturn at their no-haggle price and a used Pontiac in CA which I thought I was buying for 3K and paid 5.5K in the end (still wondering about that one).
So I am in Phx, and wondering what I should be expecting to pay OTD for an EX. Truecar is showing me 19K but I don't know if that includes everything. I will be paying cash.
As a side question/curiosity; Is it possible to get a sweet deal with dealer financing which I sign one day, take the car and pay it off couple of days later?

It's not exactly the most honest thing....but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
You could try doing a switcharoo, try and get it close to 17,500 by saying you'll get the extended warranty (which generally will have a 30 day return policy). This gives the dealership a kickback (since they WILL overcharge you). So you'll end up paying around 19-20k, but when you return the extended warranty itll be back down to 17k.. Im pretty sure 100% of the policies by law HAVE to have a return policy in 30 days, but you can request honda-care as it 100% for sure does have a 30 day return policy.

I got my modern steel metallic ex manual off the lot just yesterday. Sticker was 18,225 here in upstate ny. I put 3500 down. Then tax, tittle, paint, fabric, undercoating protection. And the extended warranty. Out the door price of 18,417.
So happy to have a new Fit!

Got my black ex auto yesterday. Last Fit on the lot. MSRP was $19,025 dropped to $18,900, dealer "doc. fee" $129 the rest went to the state reg $23 title $38 lienholder on title $10 sales tax (after deduction for a total loss payout) $693. Very pleasant buying experience.
Reading through this thread, it seems pretty obvious that if at the end of the day you come home driving a Fit, you made a pretty darn good deal.
In the not-too-distant future, the Honda Fit will be seen as an iconic car---one of those very special early model cars that everyone wishes he had bought --- before they became rare collector items.

On a better note, may your new car give you many years of reliable and safe service. Cograts. I've thought about buying a 6 speed EX in PBP, but I'm in no hurry. If I do buy, I will at least wait for the quality issues and demand to subside.
Don't worry. With all the confusion I missed that $699 fee too. I just saw it the other day -months later - when I looked again (Of course, the computer went down when we were there, which I've since learned is standard practice).
Between that and the accessories I "overpaid", but I love the car and really it's only about $1200 more than I should have. Not having owned a car in 35 years and needing one right away - and wanting this one - it's not all that bad.
Red EX CVT, $22,556 all up.

Just bought my Metallic Steel EX 6MT for 18225.00 for the car
OTD 20,756.
Ouch man, Did they charge you a protection paint package? My dealer told me most dealers in Florida put them on the car and charge 1700.00 extra for it.
I refused to pay for it, They gave me the paint protection still but took it off the price.
