I take it you bought from Zimmerman? Have you been a customer there in the past? Sales is different from service, though. We had terrible service getting our '13 Sport repaired under warranty even though they blamed us for the defect...We bought both ours from Valley - to us it was worth the drive.

Yes, I bought it from Zimmerman.
No, this was the first time and probably last time I buy a car there due to me relocating to Florida sometime this year.
My warranty is supposed to be through any honda dealership so I hope I won't have any issues if any one up and I have to take it to a honda dealership in FL.

Congrats on the Fit, warranty work can be done at any Honda dealer. I just left the Quad Cities last March for eastern Illinois. I wish you the best in Florida, you wing have to deal with winter snow any more. :-)

One of the dealer is advertised $17,750 for Fit EX for this weekend. Is it worth going there. I am pretty sure there will be lot of stuff added it to the otd price.

Yes. I'll be happy if I can get an ex cvt for under 18 but around 17,500 or less would be ideal in my eyes seeing the average prices around. You could try and haggle down a bit but that's pretty good.

An LX manual in Aegean blue; sticker was $16350, we got ours for $15900 by using the Edmunds Price Promise. Very easy transaction and no haggling.

It wasn't the deal of the century, but I was happy with it considering most of the other Honda dealers in my area were putting $2-3k markup on the '15 Fit

Just got an EX CVT for $19,795 out the door yesterday. Looked at all the dealerships in the area and was the best I could find. Beginning of the year and beginning of the month, seems like a tough time to buy.

That is for a manual, right? That is a good price. See if you can get it for $17,000.

Yep. Beginning of year/month is not a good time to get a discount.
You paid about 900-1000 more than here is SoCal but that's a parT of higher livng cost in NorCal. But you've got the best deal possible in your area according to your research, so CONGRATS!

Don't be fooled by the advertised price!
Ask what the OTD would be.
I noticed some dealers are adding extra fees to the advertised price and bring up the OTD. Kinda 'bait & switch' (to a different price).

2015 LX manual steel gray.

Car Price: 15188.26
OTD: 17117.32 with taxes, tags, all that jazz.

They didn't charge me for any accessories, but included the pinstriping, nitrogren, cargo mats, all that stuff. I could have done without all of it, but I do like having the cargo mat

Not sure if I did good or bad. Not included in the car price was a 699 "pre-delivery" fee which they wouldnt budge on.

Never bought a car before, and I'm a bit pleased. Originally they set an offer on the table that had me walking out the door at 19.5k. I tried to get them to negotiate and remove their "honda protection package" (which was all the accessories) and they didn't budge. They told me they had no wiggle room.

Then I pulled out my cell phone and showed them a dealer down the street had offered me less, and if they could beat it, I was theirs. (Earlier this day, I had emailed every other honda dealer in the city and tried to get OTD prices and had them haggle amongst themselves)

They did offer me less, and I bought it. Not sure how I did in comparrison to other people, but I'm pleased.

^ a PRE-delivery fee? Wow.

$19,500 out the door would have been terrible. I just picked up an EX CVT for $19,750 out the door … so luckily you bite on that.

The best I found for the LX 6MT a week ago when looking was $16,988 OTD, so your price was right in line with that.

My OTD price (including tax, title, fees, etc) in Houston, TX, on January 08 was $17,250 for an LX MT with tinted windows, nitrogen tires, and some interior stain protector and exterior paint protector. They also gave me the first two oil changes free and one free tank of gas after the initial one. I guess I got a B- deal, what do you think?

New Buyer

Hey guys, I'm a first time Fit buyer and I'm wondering if you should go through with this deal

2015 Fit LX(CVT). I got it from a dealership in Morton Grove, Illinois for 1870 OTD. It seems from reading past posts like that's a tad high, how low can I go while still giving the dealership some profit. Any help would be appreciated!

What the fudge? How'd you get them down to 18K? Which dealer was that? I'm embarrased to say I picked up an EX manual for 18K but that did include a bunch of add on accessories, wheel locks, all weather mats and trunk mat, door edge guards and mud flaps

Always shop at the end of the month when they are desperate to make their numbers.

Lately dealers are posting sale prices without their add-ons that come with the car regardless of whether you want them or not. I used Geico buying service which is a set price so the dealer had to take off what I didn't want but unless you have a car buying service price you are subject to having to buy it with all that stuff on there, well you can always walk out but they know you want the car and that you'll give in.
