Lic/Reg Fee $ 272.00
Title Fee $ 77.00

The door edge and splash gaurds were already installed. The door edge seems like a rip off, splash gaurd seems ok especially since we got a snow storm yesterday. This was the first car I ever negotiated and I messed up on the extras. I meant to only pay for the floor mats and they jacked up the price of that that silly door edge crap.

In the F&I office, the guy showed me a screen that said they were losing about $700 dollars on the car, so take that for what its worth. The also showed me a dealer invoice that said I was getting the car for $200.00 below invoice (again, take that for what its worth).

What sealed the deal for me, was getting an extra $800.00 for my trade in, and that took a HUGE fight. But was it an extra $800.00 for the trade or $800.00 less for the car? I am sticking with I got the car for $800.00 less for $16,949

So i think they have between $800 and $1,000 wiggle room for the EX if you catch them at the right time and you are willing to fight it out with them.

It took 3 days of on and off calling to 10+ dealerships, but I finally found a price I wanted

2015 Honda Fit EX-L with Navigation
Sale Price: $20723.00
Dealer Doc: $247.50

$20,970.50 before NY Sales Tax and DMV fees

Not too happy about the saleswomen leaving destination and dealer doc fees off of her initial quote, but the final price was about $200 off invoice price. Can't complain!

I definitely have to move to Oregon

Here in Ontario we have 13% sales tax and they charge $1600 and change for delivery and preparation (car wash perhaps?). MSRP is a tad lower now due to weakening Canadian buck.

I am willing to help anyone help anyone out in the Portland area. Not saying we could get a great deal but I am willing to help.
Hmm may need to make the 2hr drive to Portland when I'm ready to buy. Only 1 dealer here and all on their site like 2K more than you paid for EX.

Not too bad considering how much it saves. We drove 90 mins for our 15 EX this year and 2 1/2 hours last year for our 13 Sport. Same dealer, we just moved. But they were worth driving to.

anybody in Ontario?

Anybody in Ontario managed to get a new Fit below MSRP? I appreciate any info about dealers in and around GTA willing to negotiate. Because every penny counts (even if no pennies anymore).

I bought a couple days ago and would appreciate any feedback on my deal. I worked hard and could not get any better than this. 2015 Fit EX CVT with protection package (splash guards, wheel locks, cargo tray).

$17,458.19 for the Fit including the destination charge.

I'm in California so tax, DMV fees, tire disposal fee, document fee, etc. brought the total out the door to $19,195.

I know every state is going to have different tax and DMV fees so that makes it hard to compare the out the door. The $17,458.19 for the Fit with destination is comparable though and ther other fees I paid were all the same by other dealers in my state.

You did fairly well in the So Cal.

I paid $18,900 OTD for an EX CVT w/o any option about a week ago in the Riverside county.

Chaz, I spent a lot of time in person, phone, and e-mail with Moss in Moreno Valley where you bought yours. I played hard ball with them and worked them hard. They would not come lower than 19,195 out the door. I bought elsewhere though because they were total liars and game players with me. I was trying very hard for your 18,900 out the door price but could not get anyone to match it no matter how hard I tried. At least I was able to get splash guards, wheel locks, and cargo tray for $19,195. I could not get anyone to go lower than that.

Hi Lavellex,
Did you buy Fit from Dallas dealer? Any feedback on your purchase price and dealer will be appreciated.

Ordered my new 2015,

I'm new here- just put deposit down last weekend & Curious if I got a steal or not...feel like I did.

Model: 2015 EX 6.speed manual

MSRP: $18,225

Location: Boston, MA

Price I paid, (including destination but not taxes) : $17,040

I traded in my 2010 Fit 5 speed- loved it but the road noise was killing me and the new one seems substantially quieter and sturdier.

Another question- was reading the thread about QC issues and wonder if I should worry? I might have to pick it up at night and am scared I will miss something on my review of the car before I take it. Anyone have suggestions and should I be worried.

Which dealership did you buy from? Also, what kind of financing did you end up getting, if you don't mind sharing?
Sounds like a really nice deal to me, congrats! Overall I found MA dealerships fairly willing to go down on price, which I wasn't expecting based on everything I had read here.

I had dealerships competing against each other with online quotes. Some wanted over 18k, some 17,500. When I saw 17,040 I jumped at it. It was Honda Cars of Boston. I had pre approval for financing through BOA and am negotiating with the dealership to see if they can beat the APR (2.6%).

Prior to that I went to Herb Chambers and experienced the worst salespeople ever. No respect and they treated me like a dolt because I'm a female. Pulled the bait and switch, used fuzzy math (I'm an accountant) and tried to steal my 2010 which I was trading in. NEVER go to Herb Chambers Honda of Boston.

Thanks for the quick reply! I'll have to give them a try, since I'm losing patience with Atamian.

I've dealt with Boch and Atamian so far, and Boch clearly didn't seem interested in me as a client (we went in there three times to buy a certain VIN to find out that it wasn't on the lot and didn't get so much as an apology) while Atamian offered a really nice price and a non-pushy sales guy but then tried to pull all sorts of shady stuff with financing. Oh, and both hated the thought of us using our own financing, to the point where they hinted at not honoring the quoted price if we went with it. We ended up leaving a large down payment with Atamian, but that was 3.5 weeks ago and the car still isn't here, so I'm on the verge of asking for my money back.

I had such a great experience with Chad there. He was respectful, listened, and overall just a nice guy to work with. He tried selling me the black one I test drove, but understood when I said I only wanted a white one and so he sourced one for me from another dealership. It will be in this week.

Yep, I completely AGREE with you!

Initially I got pissed off at them and went to 3 other dealers . But no one couldn't match, and I needed a car right away (because my 15-yr old car literally blew up - a gear shaft broke inside the trans and punched a fist-sized hole in the case!). I hated them but had to go back there to save a few hundred bux. Oh, well..

The 3.5 weeks is not really that long. While supply is easing, it is still fairly tight. I was specific with the car I want (Passionberry.. EX-L with Navi), and have had to wait for it to be built.

But! Seriously? They got whiney about how you financed? That's not their business. That's like not honoring a price because the person is buying with cash (which, for all intents and purposes to the dealer, you are).

I am working with Bernardi, and have been happy. Eight years ago Bernardi Toyota lost a sale because I stood in their dealership for ten minutes and not one salesperson or reception person even acknowledged my presense. I drove down Rte. 9 to their Honda dealership, and the experience was just the opposite. So, they are getting my repeat business.

Thanks, acter. Thing is, Boch wouldn't sell me a certain car from their inventory after they found out that it was still on the plant in Mexico - they said that since they had no control over when it would get to the dealership they just couldn't do it. So I made sure to ask Atamian several times if the VIN I'm buying was still in Mexico or already in the US, and they swore that it was in the US and it was just a matter of days. Which... does not seem true anymore. It was late December, so I'm sure they were very eager to make the sale.

As for financing, I can kind of understand - they make a huge percentage of their profits off of that, and since I have excellent credit they were obviously even more excited. But dealing with the finance guy was just beyond shady.
I was preapproved by USAA for 2.24% for 36 months and they said that they could try and beat that. The finance guy sits us down, does the whole spiel on how he wants to get us out of there in 15 minutes and tries to get me to sign this long paper pointing straight to the dotted line. I took the time to read it all, and he was getting me to sign into a 60 month loan at 2.99%, which over the course of those 60 months would have cost me around $1K extra in interest vs 36 at 2.24%. Once I caught on he apologized for his "mistake" and said that it was the weekend and banks were closed, but if I signed this blank form he could definitely get me the best rate on Monday! Uh, yeah, no thanks. So we walked out with just a buyers order and I refused to sign anything else till the car actually got here.

Long story short, now I'm seriously considering wrestling my down payment out of them and going elsewhere - Bernardi is a bit of a drive away, but at this point I just want this whole experience to be at least a bit less stressful.

cranraspberry. I can't believe dealers do this. The finance guy at my dealership kept showing me the screen when asked about the loan details. Unlike you, I signed on the long piece of paper without giving much though and now have a 5 year loan @ 3.46% (instead of a 3 year loan). I can't believe I made such a mistake. I guess I was just tired and wanted to go home that day.

I left a negative review for the dealership. I am not fignting it. I think I will prepay a lot of the principal in the next few months and reduce my interest payable.

I hope I got a decent deal on the price though.
$19,261.00
$ 790.00 Destination
$20,051.00 Sub-Total (MSRP 20,600 EXL w/o nav)

$ 7.50 Tire Tax
$ 296.00 Reg/Title
