They can learn to drive a proper stick later on!
But then if they have an automatic they are prone to all the distractions of make-up, eating, reading, playing with the radio, playing with that 4 inch super computer, rather then the stick. Which is the ultimate focus of driving the car.

The stick, the un-distraction device.

Plus tests I have seen show the CVT goes 0-60 in 10+ seconds, the stick can do it in 8+ seconds, for certain highway ramps (*you know them), that makes a difference.

While I'm the first to love manuals over automatic transmissions, I would challenge any 2015 manual to my CVT in a ramp race! Those MT 0 to 60 numbers are typically hard to replicate unless you are a very good manual transmission shifter. Bottom line, I can probably stomp on the accelerator in the CVT and get there just as fast if not faster.

The tests I read show 8.7-8.9 for the CVT.

Traded 2014 Ridgeline Sport for 2015 Fit EX-L

Traded 2014 Ridgeline Sport Black 8600 miles for a 2015 new Fit EX-L Red.

I loved the truck, but when my wife upgraded from a Sportage to a Sorento, it was hard to justify keeping a truck that wasn't getting used much. The Sorento can tow a trailer for those times when I need to haul larger stuff.

It's day two of owning the Fit. Very happy with the trade so far.

Our new Fit replaced my 2011 4x4 EcoBoost F-150 as my daily driver for work. Thankfully I convinced my wife to trade her CRV so we could keep the work horse for vacations and towing.

Replaced my DD 01 Civic w/ 200k miles. It's now waiting for an engine swap of some sorts.

Are those photos recent? it they are the car is pristine and looks like it has just gone out from the dealership.
