What vehicle did your Fit replace?
I have not purchased yet but started looking at the Fit after my first accident EVER in January. I want to go up in size (current car is a 2012 Scion iQ). The iQ did not do well in the front end, very low speed accident (it was on snow and we were both only doing 20mph if that). My car had to be towed while the guy that hit me got too drive away. Needless to say - can't wait for winter to be over. Lots of anxiety over driving in this weather in the iQ now. Looking forward to when my lease is up in a few months and I can switch! I've read lots of good reviews and the Fit seems MUCH safer. Love this Forum.

Also fuel prices in Mexico got pretty expensive. In two years of the new narco-president the gas prices skyrocket.
I bought it blindly based on Consumer Reports advice. So far I have no regrets. The only thing that I do not like is the claxon otherwise the car its pretty good.
At first, I thought it was referring to a Southern Civil War general from Alabama, but I do believe it is the horn.
Oh, you mean like the General Lee "Claxon" from the Dukes of Hazard?

2011 Ford Ranger XLT 2.3l AT- still have it, but don't drive it to work every day anymore. I prefer small cars and wanted something roomy, high MPG and fun to drive. Was looking at early Scion xBs, but they were all a little too well used at this point. I really like the Fit, very solid feel for 52 extra lbs over the last model (per Car & Driver). The engine makes nice snarling noises going through the gears. Getting 33 mpg going to work and 38 on the highway (measured, indicated were 35 and 40) Once my rear sway bar gets here in a month or two, I plan to try a few autocrosses - SCCA Solo II HS.
1998 Volvo S70
I wore the hell out of my old Volvo. I couldn't believe the dealership offered me a grand for that thing! It had one working speaker, one working window, broken taillight housing, etc. I'm so happy I was able to get such a great deal on a 2015 Honda Fit LX.
Congrats Clark. How many miles did you have on your Volvo?
1970 Volkswagen Beetle. It was given to me right after I got my license a couple of years ago. It's how I learned manual and it's been my daily driver for nearly 2 years. But I moved further from my job and a 25 mile roundtrip commute was too much for my old bug and it started having a ton of expensive problems. So I did all my research, figured out what my needs were, and landed on the 2015 Fit LX CVT for my first car purchase. Needless to say, driving experience is night and day. I miss my little 4 speed stick but man is it nice to have automatic in heavy traffic.
Yeah, I'm still amazed at how much I can fit in this thing.
2006 Scion XB 5 sp.
Great car. Love it hate or it looks. Sometimes squeaky and drafty. 130K miles original clutch no major repairs. A battery and a water pump. great A/C the seats where better than the 2015 Honda and a bit more room inside. Same car mechanical as the Toyota Echo. I had 1974 Civic Hatchback out of high school another good ride sir-came to rust. Only died on me once. A timing belt. I wonder if the 2015 Fit has a belt or a chain. I'd take the chain any day
Good to be driving a Honda again Better attention to detail than Toyota. But Toyota builds a very reliable car.
All the best,
Mark
