What vehicle did your Fit replace?
2004 Elantra sedan. It was a dependable car, served me well. The miles were getting high though, and I wanted a new vehicle that would haul my bicycle easily in it's cabin. I did miss having a manual transmission as well. The Fit checked all the right boxes, and had a great price as well.
2007 MINI Cooper S. Worst. Car. Ever.
In a span of 3 years of ownership I replaced:
Exhaust valves 1-4 (at different times), transmission mount, throttle body, SRS Airbag issues, defective key slot, HPFP pump (x2), turbo, water pump, thermostat, timing chain, timing chain tensioner, valve cover... and those were just the major things. This thing would also burn oil like crazy. I had the car in service for a total of 138 days.

I have a stable of almost a dozen rides, but my dailies were 2 subies, a honda bike, a GMC truck and I just bought this with no trade in. I mostly drove my Legacy GT Limited with a real deal HTA setup and on E pushed over 400 crank, but got the mileage about the same as my truck, so the FIT was the way to go for the daily commute. 15 mpg going 65 miles a day sucked. New FIT is getting average of 35 mph which is nice.
My Fit EX-L replaced a 2014 Ford Fiesta. I had the automatic Dual Clutch Automatic and had to get new clutches at 7k miles and again at just under 20k. I got fed up with Fords excuses ;/ I just wanted a reliable car that could handle my bikes and kayaks. The Fit .... fit the bill.
2005 Civic HX, loved that car. First car I bought and planned to run it into the ground. Only ever had to replace 2 parts, a radiator due to a rock from a semi, and a battery at year 9, aside from maintenance items. Accident put it out of service, paid off years ago and had liability only on it so didn't get totaled. Probably going to pull and keep the 1.8 for fun (vtec go cart anyone?), sell the alloys and send the shell to the pick-a-part graveyard.
After a decade and 185k it was time to upgrade anyway.

Hello! I'm new here and this is my first post.
Some might call me silly, but I replaced my 2013 Toyota Prius C Two with the new Fit.
The back story is I actually wanted a Fit 5 years ago when I ended up buying Nissan Versa instead because it was cheaper. Come to find out, I ended up getting terrible gas mileage out of the Versa, so I got the Prius C.
Though the Fit has always been in the back of my mind, I never gave it much thought again until recently when my tail light filled with water and the ac/heater buttons stopped working. The car also had LOTS of interior and hybrid noises that bothered me. So, that's when I started thinking about the Fit again. Plus, I like the new design and the new features. It didn't take long after the test drive for the dealer to talk me into the car. Although I'm losing gas mileage, I like the Fit SO much better than the Prius C. Plus, it cost me $2000 less than what I paid for the C. My mistake is not buying it 5 years ago. Although it would have been the old model, as long as it drove the same s the first time I drove it, I wouldn't have even considered trading again.

And for the record, I do like my Fit, I just so wish the MPGs were in the solid 40s all the time.
A 2006 Honda CR-V EX AWD. Had 114000 miles on it, when it jumped timing and destroyed vales. The sad part is, three months earlier, I had the timing chain and tensioner replaced. We bought the car brand new in 2006. Thought it would last a lot longer. Our 2012 Pilot is doing great with 46,000 miles on it, so we decided to give Honda another try since we like what they offer. Our new 2015 Passion Berry Pearl EX CVT Fit is only a few days old so too early to tell, but we like the car, fun to drive, great on gas etc. etc.
The things that bothered me about it was how cheap it seemed. The interior creaked, the brake pedal clicked (dealer said it was normal???), the rear license plate would bounce due to no bottom holes to secure it, closing the doors sounded tinny, and debris got blown into the hatch around the seal. I don't have a garage, so that was an issue during storms. I also realized it just didn't have the room I needed on occasion to haul stuff.
The Fit is SO much more enjoyable to drive, not to mention the quality of materials is a step up. The technology is a bonus too. Also, people might not think of the Fit as quiet, but it's certainly quieter than the C was. I could have lived with those issues had I not experienced the other issues of the tail light filling up with water and the buttons going bad. That's what got me thinking of driving the Fit again. I still would have kept the C had the dealer not given me a fair deal on my trade and price of the car. I just wouldn't have been happy with it. I'm REALLY happy with the Fit, and if it stays this fun to drive and trouble free, it will keep me happy for a long time.
