What vehicle did your Fit replace?
2001 Chevy Cavalier with 140,000 miles. Little car lasted me 10 years, but was starting to develop issues.
I got the LX trim and have to get use to all these fancy gizmos (bluetooth, rear-view camera, power windows, etc).

A yellow 2005 Ford Focus ZX5 SE manual with 71k miles. I loved everything about that car; the way it looked and drove, and how comfortable it was for a small car. By far my favorite car. The Fit has some big shoes to fill.
It was also very reliable, but a few little issues were starting to crop up occasionally; mainly minor electrical (power window switches for example). Being ten years old, I figured there could be a slippery slope towards more repairs. It was a sad and difficult sale after having it for six years

1990 Honda Civic Wagon, front wheel drive, base model. Bought it from the original owner with 130,000 miles. The engine still ran flawlessly, but the transmission, suspension and cosmetics needed work. Thought it would be fun to restore, but turned out to be a money pit, so it's soon-to-be retired. It's all good, the Honda FIT is pretty much its spiritual descendent. Compact hatchbacks and wagons are where it's at.
Wow. Your feelings are consistent with a lot of the information I've been hearing lately about the Mini. They are such good-looking cars that I guess they seduce buyers. But the repair history is not good.
Yup. Nothing but issues with it from the moment I bought it. After 2 years of aggravation I decided to maximize my employee discount at the Honda dealership I work at and ordered a 2015 Fit LX with a 6MT in Aegean Blue. Really nice to back in something with an 'H' badge after a 11 year break.
2009 MINI Cooper S, Laser Blue, 6MT, Sport Package, Factory LSD. Great handling car, super roomy for someone like me (I'm 6'2"), nice layout of controls, and really loved the looks of it. I am work and don't have the list of receipts for the MINI here with me. I'll update my post once I get home this evening.
Our Modern Steel Metallic EX-L replaced a 2004 Havasu Blue Metallic Odyssey EX-L with 122,000 miles. No major issues with the van and it would easily get 25 mpg on long trips.
But the kids are grown and gone and the Fit will hold everything we need from Costco, Sam's Club, etc. and get 41 mpg doing it!

It replaced my 1997 Geo Prizm MT, which I owned for 13 years (bought it used Dec 2001). The car was extremely reliable and all I had to do was routine maintenance. All this changed two weeks ago, when apparently the crankshaft was damaged so the engine needed to be rebuilt. Instead of spending money on fixing it, I got a new 2015 yellow Fit LX MT. I hope that the Fit will give me at least the same, if not more, reliability and enjoyment as my Geo (it' still sitting on the driveway, and sometimes I wonder if I should spend the money to fix it).
My Fit replaced a 2000 Subaru Forester that had 165K miles. It was an AWD vehicle that we put 300 miles on each week in commuting over steep country roads---including a mile of off-road that closely resembled a flight of stairs. That car (and four earlier Subarus) took routine beatings with few complaints. Pictured in recreational mode... we were getting the recreation---the poor Subaru had to work even harder!

Since we moved to town and bought the Fit, we usually drive it only 10 miles a week over level roads. It's nice to own a car you don't have to beat the crap out of every day--and the Fit seems to appreciate that. I'm not sure how or if it could handle an occasional canoe... water is only a smooth half-mile away. I might have to take up roller skating instead.

Awwww.... that looks like my last Focus, lovingly called "Sunshine". Those Focus hatchbacks are just amazing cars. Ahead of their time IMO
Traded in my second MB (ML550) on an EX-L for the wife. We had two Mercedes and now we have two Fits. Counting maintenance, wear-tear, gas, insurance, and car payments, we are saving $1000 per month and it feels pretty good! We would be saving even more if gas was still over $3.50/gal.
When one of our cars was a 240D Mercedes, I had a small sign in the driver's side rear window in it which read, "My Other Car is a Subaru." Got lots of smiles at stop lights.
