I haven't got mine yet (planning on getting it tomorrow) but it'll be replacing my 2008 Nissan 350Z. Need more room and like the idea of better gas mileage. And it'll be my first manual transmission car.

It's an easy to operate manual, not at all like my first manual, 1972 Chevy Vega that had no power anything. Heavy clutch, a bit like stirring cement when shifting, well that might be a bit of exaggeration. The clutch on the 15 Fit is very light and easy to control.

My '15 EX MT replaced a an '03 Jetta TDI Wagon, which i loved, but at 241k miles, was becoming too much of a money pit to keep on the road.

The 2015 fit replaced a 1993 Honda Accord.
At this time, I wish I had fixed the accord.

I understand the concept of a test drive, I understand the concept of looking over a vehicle. But you do not always notice everything immediately.

My pet peeves at this time.
-the flash screen on start up

-The ridiculous head restraint.
The "trunk" lined with cardboard. For lack of a batter word.

It appears the sport has plastic, and the 2013 is plastic, but my 2015 is PAPER.
I won't even call it cardboard.

This is something that bothers me just a little more every day I own the car.

And the seats.... I have flipped the headrest backwards, will try that for a while.
the seats themselves, unimpressive. but not a problem... yet.

I miss my accord.

My other vehicle is a CRV, 2006 best ever

2012 VW Golf TDI. In 2014, my rarely used rear window fell into the door at 37000 miles. Dealership said sorry but your out of warranty due to miles. It will cost $800 to replace the part sir, should I order it for you?

My 2nd gear in the TDI would fuel cut out sometimes and I was coming up on 60k miles on it (which is nothing on that motor) but TDI's have DPF's that seem to fail anywhere from 70k-100k and that is like a $2500-3000 fix. Basically was keeping me up at night worrying whats next. Not knocking VW's but I just feel that they are cheaply made. TDI motor is rock solid but I feel like everything else surrounding it is cheap and could fail on a whim.

So anyways got a 2016 Fit and now I don't have to buy the most expensive fuel at the pump and at least have the peace of mind that Hondas are cheaper to fix than german cars. I am at the point where I just want a good mpg car to get me from point A to point B. I think the Fit is a fit there!

Coming from a stage 2 '07 wrx limited with 225 awhp and 311 awtqe. I went from being faster than 90%, to being slower than 90% of all cars out there I'm still not used to revving the engine high to get into the power band. Driving around a tuned Subaru for 8 years that comes to full power at 3.5k... it'll take a while to adjust. Loving the gas mileage though. Hand calculated at 42.1 mpg, a far cry from the 19 mpg average in the Subaru. I'm pretty much laughing my way to the bank, saving around 120$ a month in gas alone.
This is my first Honda and I'm impressed so far. My Subaru has treated me well over the years, I hope I can say the same for this one. Time will tell.

This picture was taken before I had done a lot of stuff to it....but, the fit replaced my 08 Xterra.....which got me an average of 14 MPG if I was lucky. Had a few fun bits, custom full exhaust, Nismo intake etc. Not being able to see over cars at stop lights and such was a bit of an odd experience the first few times I drove the fit. Really enjoying begin back in a straight.

My 2008 Fit Sport is replacing my trusty 1997 Camry LE "American Edition" (fancy I know...) the GF needed a more reliable car so she's taking the Green Machine (Camry) and we'll be selling her Focus ZTS.

My 2015 Fit 6MT is replacing my Mini Cooper R56 S 6MT! I commute about 100 miles a day and was looking for something more economical (fuel-wise, maintenance-wise). I'm going to miss that turbo that hit max Torque at 1500 RPM. The Fit's clutch is 10 times lighter, and when I drove the Mini again it felt like I was doing leg presses in my car!

I'm learning to rev high and it's actually much more fun to drive the Fit than I had thought. Loving the new tech and spaciousness too Coming from a Mini, road noise decreased and ride comfort increased so it FEELS like an upgrade (especially for my wife haha).

Just picked up my new 2016 Honda Fit LX today. (Pics in the n00b welcome thread tomorrow)

It's replacing a 2001 Honda CRV, which I loved to death and would have driven for ten more years if SOME LADY HADN'T FALLEN ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL AND PLOWED INTO THE BACK OF IT. TWICE. *breathes* *breathes* *breathes*

Anyway, my insurance company totaled the CRV and gave me a pathetic amount of money for it because it was so old. I had to get something cheaper than another CRV, and the CRV have gotten a lot bigger and SUV-like than my 2001 anyway. So I decided to trade in size and AWD for better mileage and a sportier build, but still enough cargo capacity to pack up for adventures. Thus, the Honda Fit. I love it. The kids love it. I'm working on modding it for bigger adventures. (Again, more on that in the n00b thread tomorrow)

I'm glad this forum exists, and I look forward to many Fit adventures.
